Despite scoring a 10 on the risque front, Trey Songz continues to enjoy all the benefits of being one of Hip Hop & R&B’s more well behaved stars, seeing his name elude negative press while a number of his contemporaries find themselves glued to it.
Only right then, that as he pushes his latest album ‘Trigga‘, that he share words of wisdom with two of his more troubled rivals, Chris Brown & August Alsina, both of whom he bills “little brothers.”
What he had to say on their recent run ins with their law, fans and press?
Watch below…
On August Alsina and their reported feud:
I rock with dude. I believe in him. I think he’s very talented. He’s dealing with a lot in his life outside of music. … I’m off that. I was on that. I was hype. I think my temper might have been worse than his.One of things that’s crazy about hip-hop culture that you see nowhere else is that we’re always trying to bring each other all the way down, and we gotta have this beef and that beef. I’m cool, man. It’s enough room for all of us to be successful and make money.
On Chris Brown:
I spoke to him this morning. He actually texted me this morning. He out. He good. Chris and I, we actually did our first tour together…and I always looked to him as a younger brother. The trajectory of my career was much slower than his. It was much more gradual. I was able to embrace and deal with things differently.
