Yahoo Music reports that the self-titled set tops the 2 million sales mark this week.
The feat means the set has far outsold King B’s aptly titled fourth album, ‘4′ , which has has to-date far sold 1,410,000 copies in the US since its release in 2011.
And while it has some way to go before besting the the 3 million+ sales of Bey’s first three solo albums, ‘Beyonce’ becomes the first album by a Black female artist to achieve multi-Platinum US sales (not shipments) since 2008’s ‘I Am…Sasha Fierce’ — by Beyonce.
All this with minimal promo and amidst two tours. More power to her!
