Nicki Minaj‘s Barbz have been bursting out of their boxes with anticipation for her new single ‘Anaconda’ – which the femcee announced this week.
Initially set to debut tomorrow, the star’s fans will now have to wait longer after she informed her 7 million Instagram followers that it’s been pushed back.
Her explanation below…
Together with the pic above, Minaj offered the following reason…
My darlingz, I’ve pushed the release of Anaconda to next week, Monday 8/4. I promise you will understand why before the week is out. Loveeeeeeee uuuuuu
We’re actually not surprised by this.
With Nicki’s collaboration with Jessie J and Ariana Grande due out on Tuesday, there was the high risk of one song cannibalising the other. And, in light of the Pop pull the ladies names together, we’re sure ‘Anaconda’ would have been the victim.
What’s more, by the looks of the shot above, we may be getting a simultaneous song/video debut.
Whatever the case, the delay – from our vantage point – makes sense.
