Streaming, illegal downloading, not good enough promotion, lack of quality music?
It was already dying due to illegal downloading/torrents but streaming, especially Spotify, flushed them right down the toilet. Pretty much everyone I know uses it or something else.
I’ve never cared for streaming, I 85% of the time purchase music. I feel like artist should put their music on streaming sites/apps after a good 5 months after it’s been released because they way it’s looking now the USA is going to have to lower its certification numbers.
I can’t even imagine how bad sales will be next year. I hate it because some of my favorite artists are on track to release then too. They’re either gonna have to make platnium 500-750K or add streams like they did with singles already.

Internet Piracy. Buying an album or a single is no longer about the music. It is about supporting the artist. If you like the song its on youtube, wanna own it? its on… well just google it. But if you are a fan, you’ll go to iTunes or any official sale outlet.

The problem with artist these days is their music just comes & goes. Most “artist” these days are HORRIBLE LIVE PERFORMERS & just lack star quality. Just because you’re pretty with a cute lil voice don’t mean people are gonna wanna buy yo shittt. People are THIRSTY for REAL stars these days. Adele is gonna slaughter when she comes back.
