After conquering US radio with the infectious ‘2 On’, Sony’s Tinashe sails towards global relevance on the ship that is her new single ‘Pretend’, available to purchase now.

Today, thanks to support she’s garnered from British music lovers, the rising star has earned an iTunes UK R&B Top 40 with the new song!

Full story below…

As Rita Ora‘s ‘I Will Never Let You Down‘ finds itself placed at #34 on iTunes USA’s Pop chart, Tinashe occupies two spots on iTunes UK’s R&B tally, with ‘Pretend’ perched at #20 and ‘2’ placed one spot below at #21!

Two on indeed.

Will the success of its lead single be enough to ensure commendable numbers of T’s debut LP ‘Aquarius’?

Find out when the project drops October 7th!

Rita Ora is slowly making her mark but Tinashe is a FLOP

Negativity doesn’t need to spread on a simple blog. Cyber bullying and toxic comments are never okay. Let Tinashe continue blossoming as an artist; she’s working hard on her craft.

I have nothing but hope for you, Proud-Ariantor. Have a great day!

Ok Rita I’m seeing you gurl. I just want u to stop being a h** but you’re doing great now in US. And Tinashe I’m on your side keep on doing your thang and I can’t wait for Aquarius.

I don’t see it for Tinashe tbh…I don’t feel she’ll crossover and get out of the urban world. She’ll go as far as recent Ciara to me. And Rita….the real little engine that couldn’t, but she keeps trying with this US market…

Congratulations to Calvin Harris!! I’m sure he
paid the session singer, who won’t have this
    song on her album…

  7. Dem Lessors September 1, 2014

Proof of ‘conquering’ are positions on the iTunes subgenre charts which barely touch top 20… *Holds tounge*

  8. Tits McGee September 1, 2014

I really hope that the song rockets to the top 10 of
BB. It would be interesting to hear Rita explain how
she can’t perform or have ‘her’ hit on her album!!

Misspelled on purpose so you know what I mean**

  12. Memo September 1, 2014

Misleading title as usual. Rita Ora is Top 40 on iTunes Pop Chart, not in the main one. She’ll never happen!

Tinashe doesn’t need to crossover to make money and have success…
She just needs to stay true to herself.

She also needs a Clive Davis type manager or exec that will do for her what Clive did for Alicia Keys.

I would like to see Tinashe do much more TV in the U.S and UK.

She should do Jools Holland in the UK and Fallon & Kimmel in the U.S.

IMAGINE if Tinashe had has many opportunities as Roc Nation gave Rita. Boring Rita has been all over TV without any U.S hits.
