Look I like Alicia but its really unnecessary to bring Beyoncé into this to hold her up. They both are respected talents, for their own reasons. And yes Alicia has sold a couple million more albums, but her legacy and impact in popular music culture does not even come close. Just respect them both as totally different individual talents who both bring their own things to the table.

The ONLY problem with AK (besides the last year and half with MAJOR INCONSISTENT in her live performances) is she has tarnished her image. Girl on Fire (album) is actually a really good album. I don’t see what AK could do to scan platinum, but she scanned gold, and in this flop industry, she gets two claps from me. Regardless of her commercial success, she is gorgeous and a true musician who’s music has soul and depth. I wish her well musically.
