Versatility.
It’s a trait Jessie J posses in earnest. For, while able to belt out blazers such as ‘Bang Bang’ and ‘Burnin’ Up’, the skilled songstress is also capable of slowing it down and serving up restrained vulnerability. Case in point new song ‘Personal’.
The haunting cut has been debuted as a promo track from J’s hotly anticipated new album ‘Sweet Talker’ – which arrives on October 13th in the UK and a day later in the US.

Okay, I forgive you for the second album. Give me that R&B realness.

Great song and vocal. Her vocals are best when they are more subdued. I may just purchase her album….
Yup, none of that over singing like she did on ‘It’s My Party’.
And the over singing on BANG BANG.. This will save her, the fans from her ballad days may just buy this album now
LOVE JESSIE-No need for Booty Shaking Songs! No one can Out singJess-Love her more ‘Personal’ Songs!!! Hope to see Her in the U.S.!!
I love this song. I feel the same way about my guy
I’ve been wanting this from jessie since i brought the 1st album. Love this. Give me that R&B/Pop infused mixture that i fell in love with.
I LOVED THIS SONG FROM THE PREVIEW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! why we doooo what we doooo why we doooo what we doooo
I thought I wouldn’t like this song based on the snippet, but I couldn’t have been more wrong. If only she had released ‘Sweet Talker’ as the second single, this would have been a nice third to show a different side of her. With the weather changing, it’s time to start hearing more tracks like this. I’m not ‘Burnin’ Up’ in autumn.
This album seems like it’s coming together really well. I’ll be getting it! I wish the best for Jessie J. I hope she keeps it subdued in her live performances of this song though. She doesn’t need to do too much.
Slayyyyyy! Giving me rita ir hello, hye, goodbye tease. Im sold on this album so far. Im really happy with everything except bang bang.
Lyrics.. SHOT GLASS IN MY FIST, TO SPILL IT AWAY ON MY BUSINESS… That’s me Lool. And you can tel Elle Varner had something to do with this. Vocals.. I love when Jessie doesn’t overdo it. The vocals are beautiful and strong yet show a little hurt and vulnerability at the same time. PRODUCTION.. Love the backing. This is a TUNE. Already on repeat. More of this Jessie please. Amazing
Why did she release such a terrible album last year??? And just one year later release this much better one, more similar to the first one in quality (not that it´s something memorable obviously). Congrats for improving. Although from the snippets this one doesn´t sound like the best one on the album.
This is amazing. Slay me down
