Today, fans of ‘Options’ singer Luke James will be able to get their hands on his self-titled debut album. Now, hours after its release, the singer may be pleased to learn the official video for his single ‘I Want You’ has surpassed the 2.6 million mark on VEVO.
Perhaps taking a little longer than it should have to reach that point, the visual’s official clip has been spun 2,696,701 times since December 2011, shared 17,621 and earning him 4,032 new subscriptions to his official VEVO channel.
Fortunately for him, his latest video shot for the single ‘Exit Wounds’ seems to have no trouble pulling in commendable streaming figures, viewed 37,931 times since it was uploaded on September 12th!
Will the video do its part to bring Luke the first week numbers his music is deserving of? Find out when its opening week sales prediction is unveiled right here on That Grape Juice.Net!
Also joining ‘The Scene‘ for the very first time this week is ‘Use Me’ performer Miguel!
Now signed to Troy Carter‘s ‘Atom Factory‘ the ‘Beautiful’ maestro continues to hold a place atop his genre’s food chain with the help of singles ‘Adorn‘ and ‘How Many Drinks?’, featuring Kendrick Lamar.
With ‘Adorn’, the Grammy winner has bagged himself 38,761,203 views and ‘Liked’ 200,279 times. Impressive, considering the 8,239 ‘Dislikes’ its nabbed since July 31st 2012.
Though not as high as the 45 million streams Usher‘s ‘Climax’ has brought in after dropping in the same year, ‘Adorn’s digital popularity went a long way to encourage sales of the single, which peaked at #17 on the ‘Billboard Hot 100’…before streaming data counted towards US chart positions.
Elsewhere, the Salaam Remi-produced ‘How Many Drinks?’ sings to a streaming tune of 13, 905,726! Also pulled from his critically acclaimed LP ‘Kaleidoscope Dream‘, ‘Drinks’ peak position of #69 was reached before its official music video was “Liked” 81,563 times and watched for a total of 92 years.
Enter Chris Brown.
A opening UK chart position of #4 for new LP ‘X’ will no doubt make the singer a very happy camper this week, especially now that its most celebrated single ‘Loyal’ has been certified Gold in the market for sales of over 400,000 units!
On a streaming tip, the bop has been spun 139,099,070 times since March 24th 2014, driving 88,986 new subscriptions to his VEVO page, after spending the last six months securing a little under 7 million views every week!
Turning up to ‘The Scene’ with a crate of Hip Hop in hand is rapper Game, turning up to celebrate the success of his new single ‘Or Nah.’
Though yet to impact the Billboard Hot 100, the jam’s video picks up 401,920 VEVO spins since its release a fortnight ago, while sparking fresh interest in his visual for the single ‘Ali Bomaye’, which sailed past the 20 million views mark in April and has picked up 145,322 new spins since then!
Thus, bringing its total views to the 27,145,322 mark after being shared 60,847 times and watched for a total of 185 years when the number of minutes spent watching it are thrown into the mix!
In other VEVO news, the last four days have brought with it 30,048,070 million views, but will have some work to do if it hopes to match numbers nabbed by Nicki Minaj’s ‘Anaconda’ visual, which has now been viewed 191,138,027 times since August 19th.
Luke better slay! But poor Iggy and Jlo! All those views but the song itself is having no impact. Poor zat.

I didn’t know Luke was getting views like that.
Iggy is above working with Jlo at this point, cos i’m sure Fancy did much better in faster time.
When is Miguel´s next album coming out? I loved his previous album and he has so much talent. His collabo with Mariah Carey was great too. I like his style. More like him are needed. On the other hand, Luke James has a great great voice, but something is lacking, probably the material, so I don´t see it for him, I don´t see him doing something similar to Miguel on the charts for example.
Lets just take a second to admire these s*** black men….. Black is beautiful.
Lol celebrating views when Luke can’t even chart or sell albums? He’s handsome and can sing but his music is stale.
Luke is brave.. Let see what happens.. His music is different. Great Album.. I hope people are ready for different. Cause he can sing. Trouble and Insane is amazing… Where are the uptempos? But the album is worth my 7.99. Congrats Luke James
I can’t figure out why Luke James isn’t doing better. He has at least two great songs — I Want You and Options — and he opened for Beyonce.
