By no means editorial rhetoric, we’re legitimately looking for an answer. Because, after watching Cheryl Cole‘s latest performance, we’re none-the-wiser.
Famed for everything but her vocals, the X Factor panelist – whose job it is to judge the voices of others every week – seems keen to prove her naysayers wrong. For, she has spontaneously served up a live cover of TLC’s ‘Unpretty’ and Beyonce’s ‘Pretty Hurts’, as she ramps up promo for her upcoming new album ‘Only Human’ (due November 10th).

What possessed her to attempt such demanding songs?
Conceptually, the two tracks are great picks to be fused together. The only thing missing was a competent vocalist to deliver them.
We’d much rather she continue serving up dance-troops, 8-counts, and sophisticated pre-records until she can step her vocal game all the way up.

We don’t listen to cheryl for amaZing vocals. We all know she loves beyonce, so that’s why she did a tribute to her here. Cheryl is like rihanna, you don’t listen to them for the vocals, but because they have an ear for hits and can perform (although rihanna can’t really). Cheryl dances and performs her a$$ off.
