Yes, yes, yes!! Ariana nailed this video, I’m so impressed with how great it came out! The visuals, cinematography, her outfit, her hair, everything was on point! Ariana looks s3xy in a mature way and I don’t think anyone can disagree or try to make snide child comparisons here. No one can complain about her hair either. This can hardly be considered racy either. Compared to other pop stars, this is PG. Even to her “contemporaries”. Selena Gomez’s recent videos were more suggestive. LMH easily takes Break Free’s spot as her best video. I’m so glad Ariana is stepping out and working with different directors too.

She’s so pretty & age-appropriate here. The video was simple but cute. This is definitely her best single choice to date, imo.
Sidenote: I completely get how Mariah Carey has been a big influence on her sound. But some of you are really reaching dahhhling to draw connections that aren’t there—especially this time around, with this video in particular. She could’ve sat on the stool the entire time and I’m sure someone would’ve referenced the “Heartbreaker” video like Mariah was the first artist to ever pee. Smh!

This song really grew on me as it’s one of my favs from the album. Aside from a few awkward shots, Ariana looks very beautiful. Her image is maturing rather nicely. Because I won’t leave The Weeknd out, his addition to the video was nothing special. I wonder how his fans feel about this. I remember when they performed this on SNL and they were dragging him for ‘selling out’. Hope the song is a hit.
