R&B superstar Usher and Hip Hop’s Kanye West are to be celebrated by ‘Black Entertainment Television’ next year, named as two of the entertainers set to be honoured at the ‘BET Honors‘ for their respective contributions to entertainment and the world at large.
Good news below…
As Usher’s continued success in music earns him the ‘Musical Arts Award’, West will pick up the ‘Visionary Award’ for “his extraordinary contributions across the arts, including roles as a record producer, rapper, filmmaker and fashion designer.”
The ceremony will be held on January 24th in Washington, also celebrating the work of Phylicia Rashad, star of the groundbreaking sitcom ‘The Cosby Show‘, and movies ‘For Colored Girls‘ and ‘Frankie & Alice‘, in which she portrayed the mother of Halle Berry’s character, Frankie.
