Miguel is coming!
The soulful crooner has spent much of the last year piecing together his new project and, per his latest Instagram post, it’s almost ready.
Reportedly due imminently, the album – which succeeds 2012’s ‘Kaleidoscope Dream’ – also follows last Fall’s free EP ‘nwa.hollywooddreams.coffee’.
Speaking on the process of wrapping up production, the 29-year-old said:
last touch ups to the album before it goes off for mixing. For all the vocalists out there I highly recommend becoming self sufficient in the studio. Started recording myself when i was about 13, i stole my uncles 4-track recorder… never looked back. Saves so much time and frustration.. Not to mention money 😉
While we do wonder if the singer has waited too long to build on the buzz of ‘Adorn’, we are eager to see what he’s been baking in the studio. Are you?

…But what vocalist actually thinks anything of Miguel… as a vocalist?Now, I’m not taking anything away from him as an “artiste” bc I respect him in that regard, but as a vocalist… tuh! No ma’am.
I don’t even like Miguel but I’d be a fool to sit here and say that “Adorn” isn’t one of the best RnB songs in the last 5 years,vocally speaking. He’s annoying as hell but he’s s great vocalist.
He’s the worst male vocalist of this generation. What does one even call this kind of vocals? He’s not unique, he just can’t sing. Migworl is such a mess.

Here for him. A lot of these male R&B singers are out here rehashing overplayed cliches in their music. Miguel offers a fresh approach both vocally and sonically so I’m definitely looking forward to his next project.
I’ve always disliked Miguel and his style of performance on stage, he comes off as a busy body SMH….just like when he performed at the MTV mamas in Africa!! he CaNT sung life!! but ‘adorn’ even if I don’t like RNB was a beautiful song!! he goes well with Maria like ‘beautiful’!!! but I can’t wait for his next single!!: pls someone reply how many copies did his first album sale?
Build on the buzz of Adorn? Didn’t he do that with his last mixtape and album? He released like 2 singles after Adorn which didn’t do well of course so I’m confused about that comment.

I started not to like him after his cowardly comments about People Of Color not supporting his craft & it s crazy since it wasn’t just people of color purchasing his music….

I saw some ppl saying that Miguel wasn’t a vocalist. Lol, how old are y’all? He is a vocalist & one of the best r&b artist of the past 5 years. & for ppl saying he has no impact he has two gold albums, which no one gets now, & he has a couple of platinum SOLO singles.
Kaleidoscope Dream was the best album of 2012. I am so ready for this new album.
Im excited.One of my favorite artists.Hopefully he introduces some new sounds.
