1 million singles from Nicki Minaj‘s ‘The Pinkprint’ have been sold in the last month it has emerged today, purchased by US music lovers keen to support the Hip Hop album.

Not counting singles sold before the project’s release, Minaj can now boast of moving over 1 million tracks from the album in the US within its first month of release, reaching the milestone thanks to fans who opted to buy individual cuts from the album when it dropped on December 12th.
In the same period, the album has been streamed 57. 6 million times in the US alone while its US sales now sing (or raps) to the tune of 388,546 units.
After her single ‘Only’ crossed sales of 610,000 units in the market, Minaj joins J. Cole in celebrating good album-related news this week, as his ‘2014 Forest Hills Drive‘ release touches down at the 658,254 mark this week.
Elsewhere, Bruno Mars’ ‘Uptown Funk’ sits atop Billboard’s Streaming Songs chart thanks to 11.6 million streams pulled in in the last week, helping it to spend its second week atop the Billboard Hot 100.
In R&B water, Beyonce continues to make major waves with her self-titled album this week, moving 5,076 units which pushed it to sales of 2,192,000 units and a chart position of #31 on the Billboard 200, thirteen months after its release.
Meanwhile, Tinashe‘s ‘2 On’ rises two spots on the UK’s R&B Singles Top 40 while Elijah Blake‘s ‘Strange Fruit’ takes a bite into the 2,340 unit mark in the USA.
