Chris Brown On Drake: “I’m Responsible For Reviving A Lot Of Careers”

They may share a mutual friend in Pop cantor Rihanna, but it seems there’s no mending the broken bridge that once stood between performers Drake and Chris Brown.

Why? Recent remarks made by the latter during an interview to promote his latest album ‘Fan of a Fan 2.’

Read them below…

Speaking to ‘Hot 97’, Brown said when quizzed on his feud with the Young Money royal:

I can’t keep making these mfs famous. I’m responsible for a lot of reviving of careers. When I keep talking about somebody, I’m just making them hot.

His comments come just months after they “teamed up” to join Nicki Minaj and Lil Wayne on the song ‘Only’ and after Drake took aim at Tyga’s alleged relationship with the underage television personality Kylie Jenner.

Brown fans will recognise Tyga as Brown’s collaborator on the ‘Fan of a Fan’ release, and a former member of the Young Money rap group, currently home to Drake, Minaj and their label boss Wayne.

Peep the interview below….

LOL lets not talk about reviving careers when yours needed it in 2009

    • Lake Erie February 23, 2015

But “HE” did it. He revived his own career. No one helped him. It’s a difference.

      • Drake February 23, 2015

        he ain’t revive sh!t.

    • Naomi Campbell’s cat walk February 23, 2015

      Girl it was implied.

    • Drake February 23, 2015

Not a Barb stan unable to watch the interview and hear him sepcifically talk about Drake and how he revived his career by always talking about him.
Barbz are the dumbest and worst stans — they dont even buy their fave’s album, hence why it flopped worldwide.
SCREAMIIIING! How u gone stan for someone, and then not support them.

  3. Mark111 February 23, 2015

Taking out of text. But can he revive his OWN career tho? Only thing he been doing is destroying his own career.

    • coolness February 23, 2015

At this point, should we REALLY be surprised by his comments? Just last month, didn’t he tweet that he comes in third after James Brown and Michael Jackson all while ignoring almost two generations of iconic male soul singers? This is what happens when you have too many yes men in your corner gassing you up, smh.

      • beelow February 23, 2015

  5. BeyRihLiyah February 23, 2015

chris brown bipolar ass cant even revive his own flop career he’s delusional if thinks he revived other people careers….. chris brown is literally the female version of Ciara I swaer

  6. Indie February 23, 2015

Drake’s career has been on the up and up since he started, he has never needed reviving, Chris on the other hand… SMH

  7. JDE97 February 23, 2015

    Mentally unstable b******.

  8. Lake Erie February 23, 2015

I personally think that Chris Brown did not revive Drakes career. Drake never fell off. But Chris Brown did have a “about to” fall off moment back then in 08 or 09. Then he bounced back all on his own. So this is just stupid. Who over said it. Smh.

  9. Kreayshawn the realest February 23, 2015

Have several seats!!! Drake is the female Beyonce, you are ciara out of drag!!!

  10. BeyIsKing February 23, 2015

  11. BeyIsKing February 23, 2015

This boy is flopping left, right and centre and he says he’s reviving other’s careers lol

    • DEL BEY February 23, 2015

  12. Winner February 23, 2015

But you haven’t had a platinum album in almost a decade, and your last 2 albums haven’t even scanned gold. Meanwhile Drakes first two albums have sold 2 mil and his last over 1.5 mil and he just sold 500k in a week out of the blue! Chris, where were ya babe?

  13. DEL BEY February 23, 2015

Oh Fistopher, reviving careers? has ‘X’even gone gold yet? meanwhile Drakeisha just hit gold in under a week.

  14. Rated R February 23, 2015

No Chris No. I Don’t understand why Drake has him and Tyga so bothered they act as if we care if they’re friends or not . I must say its weird that when Chris and Drake supposedly made up, All of sudden Here comes HowToCatchATyga coming side ways at Drake and Now Chris talking about he was trying to sleep with Karruche. I feel like he lets too many people in his ear , instead of worrying about “Drake” and reviving careers so to speak; he should be worried about if Tyga is leeching on him to revive his career . #FixItJesus

  15. coolness February 23, 2015

Chris would be SO much more likeable if he kept it on mute sometimes. He only exudes charisma on stage. While that’s not a bad thing, this age of social media has only exaggerated his shortcomings. How is he gonna fix his mouth and say he’s ‘reviving’ Drake’s career? Aubrey has been on an upward trajectory since he made his debut in 2009 (the same year Chris nearly totalled his career after physically assaulting Rihanna). I’m not even some big Drake fan but his current standing in the music industry is an enviable one where he maintains ground as a Hip Hop artist while being marketable enough to appeal to a crossover audience that consists men and women of different races and age groups. He’s pretty much the leading Urban-Pop guy right now with the ALBUM SALES to match. Chris was on the brink of truly falling off two/three years ago so he shouldn’t be talking. The only careers he’s elevated are that of his doormat girlfriend, Karrueche and his bff, Tigger. Then again, I shouldn’t be surprised by his statements because this is the same delusional young man who ranked himself after James Brown and Michael Jackson in terms of greatness. Bye Chris.

  16. whocares February 23, 2015

omg chris is just an idiot. Does he not realize that the only reason he is now relevant at all is because of his violent antics. For christ sake when was the last time any media outlet actually talked about his music or the moves he’s making on the charts. Look at the numbers boo, drake really doesn’t need you to do anything for him. However, you can do something for all of us regular folks who even give your lame ass the time of day at this point. Go back to rehab for say another 12 months, clean up your act and finally focus on music again. I think you have been given enough chances already, do something with it please. Because when all is said and done, you will only be remembered as the guy who beat his exgirlfriend.

  17. alisha February 23, 2015

Chris lied to the public when he pull that m j stunt on bet crying I think tyga using him to stay relevant he always coming for drake really he like the r&b pop kanye ppl get tired of him so reckless yasss like someone said he’s bipolar he cool with drake last year now this he made cant sell out stadiums no more yasss he very talented but being to big headed get help chris and tyga just jealous of drake from the start tyga also using Kylie to

  18. topplewear3938 February 23, 2015

Drake will continue to be successful with or without you talking about him Chris. I hope you two stay ‘beefing’ because in reality, I think Chris would do the opposite and only bring Drake down and do harm to his career.
If anything, I think you keep Drake in your mouth to keep yourself relevant and ride off his success. Congratz to that man for being certified gold in 3 days and he is on his platinum. Love him.

    #Delusional #pleasetakeseveralseats

  19. britneyraycarey February 23, 2015

oh please Chris. Someone in your team needs to stop gassing you up, telling you you’re something you’re not. You ain’t shiit, ain’t been shiit since 2008. You havent sold that many albums, you have the same number of platinum albums are The Cheetah Girls. Drake is far superior than you. You are now a lesser in the urban music industry. Sit down and stop making a fool of yourself

  20. Theman February 23, 2015

Lol Drake moves albums/units/singles.. He was outselling Chris period. What is he talking about? His current album ain’t even gold. Urban radio has kept him relevant.. Chris is tooting his own horn lol..

  21. Rihboy February 23, 2015

Tears!!? Yet your career is dwindling on loose strings. Please! If anything rih kept his career afloat. When she stopped f****** with him, it started going downhill. Which is why he has to put out these I want you back;I’m so sorry songs. Sending both kaka rot and rih mixed signals. But that formula fell flat graffiti error. So now he is making these h*** ain’t loyal anthems and singing about trapping and drugs as if he is about that life. Amazingly talented; unfortunately amazingly stupid. He has not control over himself or his career anymore. It’s sad. He has a girl that is holding him back and friends who say yes to everything. He has fallen into the Ciara and Rita category. Just present. But not there.
