Sending the net aflutter with the drop of his latest project, ‘If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late,’ similar to the rollout styles of David Bowie and Beyonce‘s latest releases, the set is soaring up Itunes as we speak from fans not knowing if it was a full length studio album or just a mixtape.
Unlike the duo above, he at least lent some form of warning when he shared a 15-minute short film ‘Jungle’ (seen below). Have you been to iTunes to get your copy or do you need more convincing?

Despite reports that the ‘Started from the Bottom’ beau originally planned to unveil ‘Views from the 6’ as his quarternary release, ‘Too Late,’ released via Cash Money Records, is a 17-track long project featuring Young Money leader Lil Wayne and more.
Update: Word has it the release is indeed a mixtape, upsetting many fans who purchased it on Itunes, only to find out it (for some time) was available for free on Soundcloud.

Yes, I need my money back. I’m definitely not in the business of buying free albums. Drake should really becareful about carrying out stunts like this because it can upset fans (like me) who feels as if they were shorthanded. Definitely not buying View From The 6. At least when Beyonce did this, it was clear what was going on. If people got to wonder if it’s a CD or mixtape, then your PR team did a bad job.
But why not support him regardless??? People always want something free. I am 100% postive it wasnt free for him to make it.

That’s exactly how I look at it . It’s simply because of the rollout , because nobody was racing for “4” as they were “BEYONCE” the difference between the two is the way it was released. I mean think about what was soooooo different between Beyonce content and that of Sevyn’s EP, Ciara’s Body Party , Rih’s Pour it Up and Every other R&B Chicks Content. Oh Her Name , but definitely not the Lyrics . Hive Sit.
“Beyonce” was a solid body of work, the fact that the way it was released literally change the game was merely a bonus.
I don’t know about anyone else, but I don’t buy albums I’m not interested in…no matter what their “roll out” was. Maybe you’re a lemming, but I’m not. And for the record: 4’s debut week sales numbers were higher than every one of Rihanna’s (and that was Beyonce’s lowest.) Hmmm.

Secret new album? I have the MyMixtapez app and they sent me a txt around 1AM this morning telling me to download Drakes new mixtape “The 6ix.” So I politely clicked download and lo and behold, I have all the same songs listed on this “secret new album.”
Just so you folks know before Bey released the ‘surprice’ album she went to a supadupa sell out arena tour to stimulate the hype so people were actually looking for to it. The key word here is sellout arena tour. Thank you.
