Miguel’s album was great, one of the best released this year so far. I think the three year break is what hurt him. Not to mention the lack of promo. As for Meek Mills, no shade to Nicki, but those numbers are better than what she recently did. I don’t think you can contribute all his success to her. But people are definitely listening to him now because of her. Hip-hop albums are very front loaded so I wouldn’t be shocked it if peaks at about 400k.
Nicki’s album ‘The Pinkprint’ sold 251,000 copies the first week so it sold more. Let’s see how many albums Selena Gomez sells the first week????☕️

For the LAMES, Beyonce brought Jay into the mainstream. Yes he was on that wack 90’s song, but no one was paying attention to him. He really didn’t cross over until BluePrint and that was because of Kanye’s beats. Now, sure he was somewhat crossed over, so was a lot of rappers (Nelly, 50 Cent and so on.) But the Jay we know TODAY is because of Beyonce. Bey was the reason he was ever invited to the Whitehouse, Oprah, red carpets and so on. No one wanted to invite a drugdealler until the pop girl was on his arm. All facts.

Well, the Miguel numbers are teh normal thing now. Why are some of you surprised? That´s what R&B (and most types of music) is selling now. He has not promoted and has not a hit or semi hit single to support it either.
This want hurt Miguel future sales. Most artists critical acclaim album sells less than the commercial albums. Also, Coffee isnt catching on like his previous hits. Now i do think Nicki is the blame for some of his growing popularity but not all. Meek Mill’s status has being growing and growing in the Rap World. He wouldve been good even without the relationship with Nicki.
Some of u say miguels number slow because of a break. Meeks last album was when he was like 24. He took a big break. He been hustling hard though and he is one of the few prime rappers we got left these days. Listen to dreams and nightmares. Meek really spits.
