The singer, who has increasingly become renown for her try-hard antics, has been tapped to host the MTV Video Music Awards 2015 – likely for that exact reason.
Indeed, many will recall the headlines she generated alongside Robin Thicke following their cringey ‘Blurred Lines’ performance at the 2013 ceremony.
This year’s instalment is set to air August 30th live from the Microsoft Theatre and it’s believed the show will be used as a launching vehicle for Cyrus’ new album – the follow-up to ‘Bangerz.’

We can’t say we’re too enthused about Cyrus signing up, as she – more often than not – comes across like a rebel without a cause and more tabloid than talent.
Still, it should be interesting to see if she’s able to sway the mass who likely share our sentiments.
