It finally happened.
Mariah Carey was honored moments ago with the 2,556th star on the iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Thousands of fans were on hand for the ceremony, which saw the likes of L.A Reid, Lee Daniels, Brett Ratner, and BET exec Stephen Hill offer rousing speeches in support of the diva.
Also present were Mimi’s adorable four year old twins Monroe and Moroccan, who posed with their glamorous mother.

Mariah comes from the “Physical Era”. And, to determine the “Highest Selling Female Acts”… It’s calculated by ALBUM sales (imo). Celine sold more albums fair & square. But, tbh… Celine has about 30 of them (lol). Nothing to be ashamed of tho… Mariah sold 150-160,000,000+ albums GLOBALLY. With mostly, R&B music. That’s incredible for someone with a 90% R&B catalog. It’s NEVER (other than MJ) been done before, and probably won’t ever be done again tbh…

I think you have to actually buy a star on the walk of fame, which is why Britney Spears and (lol) Sandy Duncan (who played Peter Pan on Broadway a long ass time ago) have one while MADONNA does not.
No you don’t buy it! First you get selected and then pay the 30k if you want to go ahead with it. The 30k is to pay for the services of the city, workers, cleaners, to make it happen for the 45 min. It’s not ‘paying for the star.’ So even if you paid the 30k it’s not guaranteed you even get the star.
