The study, which was conducted by vouchercloud.com, asked 2,287 British parents – all of whom have at least one child under the age of 10 – which celebrity role models concerned them.
All participants were asked: ‘Are there any celebrities you would hate for your children to idolise?’
Provided with a list of celebrities, the concerned parents then ticked off any stars that they perceived as troublesome or a negative influence.
More than three quarters (78 per cent) of the 2,287 Britons revealed that under no circumstances would they want their children to see skin-baring Miley Cyrus as a role model.
More than half saw similarly scantily-clad rapper Nicki Minaj as a potentially negative influence on their kids.
Ouch.

What parent would want their children to be inspired by these artists?
this is no surprise. Really bad examples to young audience…. I would included many more, tho. Iggy, Rihanna and some more are doing similar things that are bad influence to young girls. But this is the society we live in, after all, and things dont seem to change in the near future sadly

Constantly tells her fans to stay in school. For years has been telling young girls to be independent. Visits children’s hospitals on the regular. Highly successful and stands up for women in general on building empires. Yes she does raunchy things at time but overall Nic loves the kids.

None of these women are role models not only Nicki and Rihanna. None of them are including Beyonce, Britney, and Katy (I notice people try to leave out some especially white ones) and there’s many more. HOWER IT IS NO ONE’S JOB TO RAISE ANYONES CHILDREN. Is Nicki on Nickelodeon? No. Is Nicki on Disney? No. Is Nicki on PBS Kids? No. Nicki didn’t have a start on any of those platforms. With that being said, of course Nicki isn’t going to be a “proper” role model for kids. Thus, she DOES tell her younger audience to stay in school, fight for what you want, don’t settle for less, etc. She cares about her younger audience, but at the same time, she’s not targeting young kids as her main audience.
