The ‘Unbreakable’ singer/songwriter had been scheduled to perform at Las Vegas’ Planet Hollywood on October 9th and October 10th.
However, the entertainer has announced that she is to move the dates to take a brief vocal rest following a string of high energy shows delivered across the country.
Live Nation Entertainment said hat ticket-holders will be refunded and have the first chance to buy tickets for the May 14 performance. Tickets go on sale Oct. 16.
News of the change comes as the ‘Trust a Try’ performer celebrates the success of her latest LP ‘Unbreakable.’

Umm u can, indeed, still whisper when your voice is gone so I’m not sure what she’s resting her voice for. So she can talk to her audience still? Plus the songs that take the most of her whisper register like “I get lonely” she was lipping it so.. Maybe she had to take off for Islamic holiday or something.

I love everybody on here talking about all Janet does is whisper and lip sync at her live shows, though they have never been to one of her concerts. I saw her a few weeks ago and she sung live the whole time. That is a fabricated lie that Janet does not sing live. Her voice is very underrated and she sounded phenomenal. I could hear her before I even got close to the venue. Now this story about resting is probably not all the way true. Both Vegas shows were sold out but I think someone cut Janet a deal to perform at MGM Grand next year, maybe televised?, and she took it.
Hey Janatic! Yeah Im super disappointed I had tickets for the 10th. I’m a little suspicious about the cancellation too. She was actually on break from 10/1 until her show on the 9th so that should have been plenty of time. And if it needed to be rescheduled then why move it and not just let people keep their tix for the later date?
MGM was super thirsty for her is my guess and paid her. The only reason i think it could be a valid issue is cause she could have easily just did the 2 shows and still added the MGM date. She did that same thing for Chicago and Atlanta. Whatever it is I hope she’s well and that I get to see her at some point.

Jamss Brown & Michael Jackson say otherwise. LIPSYNCHING and dancing, ok. But singing in falsetto(which is majority of Janet’s vocals) and dancing is almost impossible as falsetto takes lots and lots of breathe. Maybe if she sang full voice more than 15% of her songs but she doesn’t so… NOPE! Whew these girls are delusional!
Off the bat you know nothing about singing because women don’t have a falsetto, they have a head voice which is what Janet uses as well as her chest voice. Let me rephrase, Janet and Michael invented choreographed dancing in Pop music while singing live. That is a fact. James Brown and Tina Turner were beasts who did it too but in different ways. Michael and Janet were dancers who had breath control and could perform while singing without going out of breath. This is not up for debate because the performances are documented. Every male and female artist that came after them copied their style except they were not as good at it. Why do I always have to school people who know absolutely nothing?
