This figure has been lauded by music industry insiders as these digits were pulled by name recognition alone as the project’s absence from Top 40 radio saw her push on with the project’s campaign without a general public seducing lead single to support it.
What most people aren’t aware of is that a unique album pre-order push in tandem with the tour was mounted. One we feel is genius.
For, Hits Daily Double reports accounts for 30,000 of the 116,000 units the album moved in its opening week.
This figure pushed the entertainer past the 100,000 units mark (a rarity in itself these days) which helped her to claim the #1 spot and earn Jackson the coveted honor of having chart-topping album’s across four decades.
