With the fourth quarter steaming rolling on, so too are the releases of many a major album. Rihanna‘s ‘ANTI’ being one of the most notable.
Yet, so as to avoid a chart clash with her better-selling contemporaries, the model has reportedly set a “coast clear” impact date for the troubled LP.
Details below…
According to Hits Daily Double, Team Rih have pencilled in November 6th as the official retail date for the star’s eighth studio offering.
Insiders expect the date will help yield an easy #1 for the 27-year-old, who’ll avoid the chart showdown between Justin Bieber and One Direction the following week and Avalanche Adele on November 20th. For what it’s worth, ex boyfriend Chris Brown will release his ‘Royalty’ opus on November 27th.
Viewed this way, November 6th – which is also the release of Little Mix’s ‘Get Weird’ – is the only looming date that would make any commercial sense for the project.
If indeed dropping in November, ‘ANTI’ (her premiere release on her own label, Westbury Road Entertainment) will mark the fifth consecutive time Rih has rolled out an album in that month. A smart means of capitalizing on the more generous purse-strings that define the Holiday season.
Stay tuned!
