Her rags to riches tale may inspire the hundreds of thousands who consider themselves fans but the Pop princess Rita Ora has revealed she is still confused by the status of a relationship she experienced in her teens.
Upsetting details below…
Portions of the entertainer’s story are to be published in the book ‘Hot Right Now’ which features a story Ora told about her time as a 14-year-old student at the prestigious Sylvia Young Theatre School.
She shared:
I was 14 when I had my first relationship with a guy. I would say he was about 26. It is child abuse really, isn’t it? I don’t want to say that I suffered it, because I wanted it. I don’t want to say that I was forced to do it. I don’t want people to think I was abused as a kid.
Ora did not identify the groomer by name and may be surprised to learn that the story is to be featured in the book this year. For, she first told her troubling story during an interview she gave in 2013.
Ora’s comments were originally made to Lifetime TV in an interview on women’s issues which was filmed in 2013.
They have now been dug up by authors Douglas Wight and Jenn Wiley, who wrote the biography.
When quizzed on the experience the star went on to add:
I’d wear low tops, I’d put red lipstick on, I’d make my hair blonder. My mum would just completely be like, ‘What are you doing’? I think that’s what got me dressing crazy, why I love crazy clothes. Because my mum always let me freely express myself. But she didn’t know that I was expressing myself because I was seeing men.
Your thoughts?
She looks a million times better as her natural self than the faux Rihanna, lost identity she has today.
I don’t care to see stories about this daffy duck lookin heifer.
Who cares enough about her to purchase an autobiography? Lol. No wonder she’s such a w**** today.
Lmao what’s traumatic about this? Y’all scraping the sewers to find stories to drum up interest in this chick
Sis. She was groomed sexually by a man almost twice her age. It’s traumatic even if she doesn’t see it. I was very mature at that age and have so many regrets about things I thought were normal back then. Now I can look back in my 20s and see that something was wrong.
In your 20’s?
No I was in my teens but only have the sense I needed back then today. It’s so easy to judge but it’s so easy to be flattered by attention when you don’t see just how young you are. Perverts who prey on the vulnerable should be shot. I Hope Rita gets whatever help she needs.
If you never type another comment, you don’t have to! *throws $20 in offering bowl*
It’s too late to save your career. This reminds me of when Nicki said she had an abortion during the PinkPrink promotional train.
She’s been a heaux a long time
“Rags to riches tale”? Her father owned his own successful business. Convenient timing of this story with Body On Me having flopped on both sides of the Atlantic
Wh*re…..but we already knew that.
