The rapper Nicki Minaj has learned that her older brother has been arrested in New York City.

Minaj, born Onika Tanya Maraj, learned that her older brother Jelani Maraj has been accused of raping a 12-year-old girl.
The official charges? The first-degree rape of a child under the age of thirteen and the first-degree sexual conduct against a child.
The 37-year old was charged in a Long Island court yesterday but was released on a $100,000 bond and is expected to return to court on December 9th.
Minaj, nor Maraj‘s wife of six months Jacqueline Robinson, have responded to the horrific allegations.
