Iggy is such a tricky topic; on the one hand one can’t but feel bad for the obvious bullseye that’s on her back. Yet, the reality is that it’s there largely due to her doing.
Had she navigated some of the early issues she faced better, it’s doubtful she’d be in this predicament (see: a diss adjective rather than an actual artist).

It’s so early in her career I hate that she keeps responding. She’s a “rapper”, she should be making diss tracks not twitter posts smh.
The problem is not Iggy defending herself. The problem is the method by which she defends herself. Her inability to let her talent speak for itself screams “I don’t belong in the music industry”. People aren’t criticizing her high school talent show performance, they’re criticicizing her supposed professional “art”. Why is the only way she knows how to “defend” herself done via social media??? These are the tactics of someone whose music isn’t good enough to do the arguing for them. Because if your music was truly killing the game, you wouldn’t have to say a word.

I’ve followed her since her mixtape days, she ain’t that bad trust me (My World, Slo, P****) just to name a few songs!
