Dr. Luke Scores Win In Latest Round Of Kesha Battle

The producer Dr. Luke has won the latest round of his ongoing legal war with his artist Kesha.

Full story below…

Slammed by the star’s fans after she accused him of raping her on several occasions as he controlled her career, Luke has now learned that a judge has denied her request to destroy the contract that still binds them professionally.

This means the singer is contractually obliged to work with her alleged attacker.

The Hollywood Reporter reports:

The singer has been pushing for a preliminary injunction that would allow her to record outside of Dr. Luke’s purview. Her attorneys have told the judge that the careers of pop stars are short and that if an injunction doesn’t issue, the irreparable harm she faces is a ruined career. After being briefed on the arguments, New York Supreme Court Justice Shirley Kornreich was skeptical.

Luke denies Kesha’s claims and says the entertainer fabricated the story “after becoming frustrated by a stalled career.”

‘Hollywood‘ adds:

At today’s hearing, Justice Kornreich’s role was sorting through this mess, deciding not only whether an injunction should issue, but also whether to grant either of the dueling motions to dismiss.

Geragos acknowledged that Kesha has always been amenable to recording with Sony, separate from Luke’s company, but also that the offer from the other side amounted to an “elusive promise.” As the hearing continues on the subject of which claims will move forward, Kesha may have to accept Dr. Luke’s offer as the only available option for her at the moment.

That isn’t all.

For, Kornreich also surprised the chart topper’s fans by pointing at the “lack of medical evidence” she has to prove she was assaulted by the producer.

Keep it locked on TGJ for more on his distressing story.

EVERYONE and their mother knows how evil Dr. Luke is. I honestly feel sorry for Ke$ha as she is truly talented beyond being Dr. Luke’s poptart creation

Then why are none of the other MANY female artist he works with speaking up?

        Is this not obvious.
Do you know the influence this man has over the pop industry?
If you want to get blacklisted like Monique, then sure, go and file a lawsuit, claiming Luke r**** you. But you gotta deal with the consequences of finding it very hard to put music out… ever again.
And now that Kesha looks to be losing the lawsuit too, she’s phucked. I feel for her.
She doesn’t strike me as someone who would file this kind of a lawsuit for money, attention, or just to get out of a contract.

I feel bad cause I like Kesha. She’s fun and seems down to Earth. Don’t worry girl if its true he’ll go before judgment and trust and believe Karma is a b**** nobody wanna see.

    • MusicFan103 February 19, 2016

Same goes for her if SHE lied about these allegations just to get out of a recording contract she signed the because now she wants out. KARMA

    • MusicFan103 February 19, 2016

I agree 😀 they actually made amazing music together. Its such a shame its came to this.

  7. Weezy Tha Goat February 19, 2016

Poor Kesha, her career will be over after this.

    • MusicFan103 February 19, 2016

Sadly her career seemed near over come top of 2013. Aside from “Timber” being a # 1 hit with Pitbull and produced by Dr. Luke. I mean 2012’s “Die young” is her last real hit and it peaked at #2 around the time of Sandy Hook. Other wise probably a # 1 song.

  8. Authentic February 19, 2016

Kesha isn’t a vocalist but she writes so she can always fall back on that… EDM declined so I know it’s gonna be hard on her

    • MusicFan103 February 19, 2016

Very true she can still make money in the industry but her career as a vocalist could be over since she has been off the scene (pop scene) so long and she was only an “it girl” for 2010 only.

  9. Ronnie February 19, 2016

The photo of her in court crying is heartbreaking. Justice for Kesha.

  10. MusicLife February 19, 2016

    Justice for Dr. Luke.

I’m a Kesha fan but this was poorly executed from the beginning of true. Handle your sh!t privately and make sure you mom isn’t being a mess on social media.
