Buzz continues to build for Ariana Grande‘s third studio album ‘Dangerous Woman.’
The volume of excitement was cranked up a notch moments ago when Lil Wayne collaboration ‘Let Me Love You’ surfaced online – reportedly as an instant-grat offering for those who pre-order the set..
It follows previously released numbers ‘Be Alright’ and the LP’s title track.
Ahead of the project’s May 20th arrival, take a listen to Ari and Weezy after the jump…
The exquisite production provides the soundest of foundations for the unlikely duo to trade verses.
‘Love You’ is laid back mood music music at its sonic best and ultimately has us that much more amped for its housing album. Roll on May 20th!
Honestly i just hear a young mariah carey! The song is cool!
a mess.
Fake ass Mariah that’s all I here is a copycat
This GURL…..what’s her lane again? Oh yeah mariah’s this would be better if it was mimi…..I like her back cuz she gives me lil mimi….but dis chick is 2 neat n clean 4 me
I always prefer her urban sound
Yes! Always. Her “The Way” was a split between urban and popular. But I knew some urban could come out of here because her music was a little to close to it. I just wish she would go all in with it. Urban is what’s popping now anyways. Everyones favorite pop artist is dabbing it one way or another, especially the wannabe pops.
This is so Mimi to an extent. Giving me Breakdown and The Roof teases.
1000%
I’ve been trying so hard to root for Ms. Grande. She’s impressed me several times, but she’s always left me feeling underwhelmed. I’m looking forward to this album given she’s getting clearer about her “sound.” I hope her team can push Dangerous Woman from a PR perspective. Focus was not the right first single for this package. They need to refocus their approach. I’m here for Dangerous Woman, but if she doesn’t deliver, I’m done. On to Tinashe, Sevyn Streeter, and Vanessa White.
its okay. I don’t see it doing that well.
This song is hot. It reminds me so much of Jeremih’s “F-uck you all the time ft wayne”. That song was a low key banger for jeremih. Not commercially big but played a lot in the clubs tho. This song by Arina I would say is the uptempo version of that. It would have been nice if she had just remade the song with Jeremih and Wayne. It also would have been totally out of her element.
What am I gonna do love, what am I gonna do
She needs to stay in this lane. We all know she has top notch vocals therfore she needs to focus on aesthetics to set her lane apart from the other girls. This is the right direction.
i’m telling you, 82+ metacritic score
They always run to lil Wayne when they need a hit
This is ?? I was expecting it to be god, but damn!!
*good
Essence of Mimi but the parts of beat and harmony layers remind me of the song Anybody by Brandy.
This song just ok to me but like her mariahism sometimes but she’s limited.
I don’t always feel everything automatically sound like Mariah when it comes to Ariana, but the chorus is very MC! I thought I was the only one hearing a slight trace of Brandy vibes (especially in the verses).
Ok Ariana I can fvck with this. This is personally the best I’ve heard from you since The Way. Now I must admit, this is a blatant rip off of Jeremih’s “All The Time” ft. Wayne. I think this would make a great album cut rather than a single though. I still haven’t heard that certified, chart topping banger from her yet…
The only thing she takes from Mariah is the airy voice & the mixture of pop/R&B with a dash of hip hop. Other than that I don’t really hear Carey. Ari’s voice is more-so lighter & childish. She has no weight or negro-ish sound to her voice whatsoever. Anyways, this song is meh. I’m waiting for that one ballad. She needs that breakout signature power-ballad!
No Shade No Tea but every time I hear her sing the lyrics “them chickens is ash and I’m lotion” comes to mind. Her voice sounds ashy to me. But the song isn’t bad though.
Lol Mariah is this you? Okay tbh I think the Mariah comparisons are so dead by now but damn the first time I pressed play I was like woah this would be a great song for current Mariah vocals. The husky deep tone, balanced whistles, put a Mariah bridge in this and it would be fire af. MC switch up your musical team like you did PR. I need some urban music from you.
I kinda found it underwhelming in full tbh. This song is clearly inspired by Mariah, but what it’s missing is Mariah’s layering of vocals and ad-libs which would’ve given the song more life, but Ariana doesn’t do anything which makes the song stay at one level until the rap which doesn’t exactly bring it to life. I’m still waiting for her to up her game.
This girl is pretty consistent with her music! I know this album will be full of some bops. Ariana hasn’t made anything completely awful yet! I didn’t even think I’d like this track and I’m now able to appreciate it more than I did the first time around!
This GURL…..what’s her lane again? Oh yeah mariah’s this would be better if it was mimi…..I like her back cuz she gives me lil mimi….but dis chick is 2 neat n clean 4 me
Its alright
She’s giving me Brandy/Mariah Carey
