Why wasn’t this the first single? It’s everything we would’ve expected from Ariana at this stage in her career had we never known of a ‘Dangerous Woman’ or ‘Focus.’ In other words, it’s progressive EDM-drenched pop (hints from her previous two albums) with a t0uch of Urban for crossover appeal.
However one feels about Ari (i.e. her desire to play up her maturity – visually and sonically), her overall progress cannot be denied. She carefully treads the line of giving her fans what they want while at least reaching for the next tier of her artistic journey. No other way to spin it, radio will eat this song up if the video built to support it is visually as appealing as the song is sonically.

The beginning was promising then…I don’t know what happened lmao but I just wasn’t feeling it anymore when the beat came in.
The way TGT talked about the song, I thought this was going to be something on Mariah Carey’s Daydreamer level. The song is ok, but it’s nothing different than what I would expect from Ms. Grande. I’m truly crossing my fingers for Dangerous Woman. So far it can go anyway right now. Be Alright and Let Me Love You are the sound I prefer for her. Into You and Dangerous Woman are not it. With all the heavy hitters coming out this year, she better wow me these next few months. Because she always leave me a bit underwhelmed for some reason. If she can’t give me everything I need from this album, I’m leaving her behind for Tinashe, Vanessa White, and Sevyn.

Unfortunately like the most of the songs from Ariana this time around the songs show promise in the snippets but lack something i their full form.
Ariana needs to amp up the vocals or something as this song plods along like the others.

The problem is she needs to stop hyping and releasing teasers, it’s just making everyone imagine how the rest of the song will sound like according to their taste. Then when they hear it they aren’t happy. That’s how Gaga ruined her career.
