‘Genie In a Bottle‘ beauty Christina Aguilera is finally granting the wish of new music for her fans and it’s all for a good cause.

Courtesy of the heartfelt ballad ‘Change,’ a gripping number lifted in dedication to the victims of the heinous nightclub shooting that took place in Orlando over the weekend, the Grammy winner belts some of her most emotionally charged lyrics to date.  While the tune is still scheduled to make its official premiere on ‘Ryan Seacrest’ tomorrow, it’s made its way to Apple Music tonight for your listening pleasure.

For those wondering if Aguilera’s still got “it,” she proves (once again) that she not only does, but “it” is still there in abundance.  Get your first taste of what she’s serving below:

Tacky, these flops using a tragedy to revive their dead careers.

    • #JACKIE June 16, 2016

You would know all about “dead” wouldn’t you?

    • The One’ June 16, 2016

She’s worth millions of dollars while you’re broke and trolling, so who really need reviving!?
      Okay!!

  3. WordsWithSam June 16, 2016

Some of the lyrics are a bit cheesy, but she sounds great and it pushes a nice message and if part of the proceeds are going to a good cause, all the better. Glad to hear the vocals are back.

You know what some of ya’ll get on my gøddamn nerves! Christina has a huge gay fan base and loves her gays! God forbid she do something nice for them! Further more she is not chasing money or trying to get a hit or get attention, all the proceeds go to the victims family! I don’t see any other artist doing something nice! Some of ya’ll just love to hate! GROW UP!

The horrific tragedy that occurred in Orlando continues to weigh heavily on my mind. I am sending so much love and so many prayers to the victims and their families. Like so many, I want to help be part of the change this world needs to make it a beautiful inclusive place where humanity can love each other freely and passionately.

We live in a time of diversity, in a time of endless possibilities, in a time where expression of oneself is something to be celebrated. And I am left wondering how people filled with so much love could be taken by so much hate.

Though there is such heavy sadness I believe that there is much more love in the world than we know. We need to learn to love again, we need to learn that one person does make a difference; we need to keep love in our hearts. As Nelson Mandela once said, “No one is born hating another person because of the color of his skin, or his background, or his religion. People must learn to hate, and if they can learn to hate, they can be taught to love, for love comes more naturally to the human heart than its opposite.”

We all have the choice to spread love, encourage individuality and make a difference to others – we are all in this together, as one, united in love.

Sending all my love, thoughts and prayers,
      xo Xtina

Love the song. Her vocals sound amazing! This was very kind of her. I’m definitely gonna support. Not only cause i love Xtina but because 100% of the proceeds go to the families of the victims. That’s pretty dope in itself.

  6. truthtea June 16, 2016

Y’all b*tches be on some other sh*t these days!!! Xtina has always been philanthropic! When she’s on break from music or The Voice, she’s always raising money and awareness for various charities! Anyway, this is a beautiful tribute!!! I don’t see Beyawnce or Ciara putting out any charity songs or even making donations to the Orlando victims. Just STFU and keep the hatred to yourself!

Truth! She premiered Lift Me Up on Hope for Haiti Now back in 2010.

    Nice song

  8. Christina Aguilera June 16, 2016

Change the world. We need love not hate. We are sinners but we all can try to be better. We need a change cuz we all got corrupt by the society.

  9. B_Roni June 16, 2016

She so talented and I love her voice . One of the best voices I have ever heard in my life.

  10. B_Roni June 17, 2016

And I know this has nothing to do with the post but why is love the way you lie charting on itunes. It’s jumping around the 80s and 90s range.

    • B_Roni June 17, 2016

Well damn even Shaggy”s it wasn’t me charting st #46 lol

  11. Stephy June 17, 2016

I actually like it. Good job, Xtina

  12. Salvino J June 17, 2016

No judging here I love Christina just purchased it my heart goes out to the families and ones who died and were hurt. All the other petty arguments are not sending money to help anyone

    • Royalkev June 17, 2016

I just did the same! … Love your attitude!

  13. Kay June 17, 2016

Not just a portion, her website confirms that 100% of the proceeds are going to the National Compassion Fund, to benefit the victims and families affected by the Pulse shooting in Orlando.

It’s a beautiful song and vocal, and I’m happy to see artists use their talent and gift for good and important causes.

The official statement about this song is on her website too, and it’s definitely worth the read.

“I am left wondering how people filled with so much love could be taken by so much hate. “

  14. No favs, just here for the music June 17, 2016

This song is beautiful. RIP to all those who lost their lives to such senseless violence and hate.

  15. Danzou June 17, 2016

I’m black and I love her but why do most black peoples hate her so much..?

    • Reality June 17, 2016

No shade no tea, but if some blacks knew their history they would know that be Ecuadorian or any other form of Latin is to be black, as seeing how being black is the base of all human ancestry…google it

    • Matthew Charlery-Smith June 17, 2016

I don’t think most hate her but in the realm of Soul music she’s often compared to the greats such as Whitney, Aretha and even Mariah and she carries a certain superiority complex, intended or not, which sees her happily wearing titles such as “Voice of this Generation” and “Legendtina” when she hasn’t really earned it in the eyes of many.

The vocal greats were more than just naturally talented with dynamic voices. They were the epitome of class and skill and seemed to love the art more than themselves. For me personally, knowing what Black people have gone through in America for recognition, I don’t wish to see Soul music owned and trumped by White soul singers who don’t have enough understanding of the art form nor the knowledge of its roots to deliver it authentically. Her screaming of “It’s a Man’s World” at the Grammy’s and other tributes she’s done to Michael Jackson, Freddie Mercury and even Whitney were quite atrocious and these true legends deserve more than that. As I said, it seems she’s too in love with her voice and not the message she needs to deliver unlike her predecessors.

Reality, Latinos are of Northern Mediterranean descent (Spain/Portugal/Italy/France etc) with occasionally a mix of Native American, they are not Black. I’m sure Christina’s father was not Black, unlike Mariah Carey’s. Christian changes her appearance per album. Virtually unrecogniseable from Stripped to Back to Basics when she went from trying to be half Black to Marilyn Monroe.

Still, it’s always great to see celebrities being humanitarian and remembering the victims of tragedies. Christina’s always had that type of edge and it’s good to be conscious of more than yourself.

  16. StrawberryMuffin24 June 17, 2016

It’s a great heartfelt song and I love that she’s donating all of its proceedings to the victims and their families.

It’s a beautiful and GENUINE gesture.

  26. Nate June 17, 2016

Christina Aguilera’s Beautiful video hello! She’s been down since atleast 2002. Nope, she sang with Ricky Martin much earlier than that, so she’s always been down. Lol.Very pretty song.

  27. dee.western June 17, 2016

Christina A. “Waiting for a Change” is so inspiring. The music, lyrics, and vocals are 100 percent.
    Great entertainer.
On another note. It’s so sad we live in a world where there is so much dislike and hate for people we don’t know, and probably will never ever know.
Too many individuals who are unhappy with their lives or jealous of what someone else has acquired. That’s why so many celebrities employ security; not because they are so special, but when one reads the obscenities made by haters who are immature and possess a weird obsession with a celebrity(s).

  28. Lisa June 18, 2016

This song is so touching. I can’t stop the tears. Christina is a really beautiful human being not only on the outside but on the inside too.
