Mila J fans got quite the summertime surprise today when the singer/songwriter dropped her newest EP, ‘213.’

Named after an area code in her hometown of Los Angeles, the short, but sweet six-song set is already earning many-a-thumbs up from critics – especially for ‘Kickin Back’ (its “lead single” that went to radio today).

Also featuring an interesting remake of Sade‘s classic tune ‘Sweetest Taboo,’ tuck in below for your first listen to Mila’s latest and give us your feedback:

Don’t like her voice, and her “Grunt” is hella annoying. But, she’s prettier than her sister to be honest.

  7. ???????Chile, take this “Itty Bitty Piggy” to the market and make sure you hold her hand while crossing the street!??????? June 18, 2016

“My Main” was such an underrated bop. It’s a shame that she’s on Motown, especially when she knows the wont get her anywhere. Heck, even M.J. was itching to leave them too….and that was way back then.

So I listened and her sound is a reflection of what is current and trendy right now. That is to say, besides her unique sounding vocals, her finished product will not help define her and set her apart from the rest. The 808’s and 1/16 note hi-hats are the driving force in every song except for the Sade cover. They all sound the same.
