While we’ve already reported ‘Last Year Was Complicated,’ the sophomore solo effort from Nick Jonas, will fail to dethrone Drake‘s ‘Views’ from the top of the Billboard 200, the set still comes as somewhat of a victory for the former teen pop star.
Though lacking the out of the box hits afforded to his first outing, ‘Complicated’ – courtesy of moderate hits ‘Close,’ ‘Bacon,’ and ‘Under You’ – will not only lend Nick the highest debut of his solo career, but also his best debut sales.
Indeed, besting initial predictions of 60,000 SPS by a few thousand, tuck in below to see exactly where you’ll be able to find him on the refreshed Billboard 200 chart:
First Week Sales: 66,000 SPS (47,000 traditional sales)
Chart Position: #2
Outselling Drizzy by nearly 20,000 traditional units, Jonas lacked the streaming power ‘Views’ is still enjoying some 7 weeks after its debut. Moving an additional 121,000 copies SPS, ‘Views’ will remain unbothered from its Billboard 200 perch.
