It was “Freedom” and it was so beautiful. It was the same encore performance with the splashing in the water on the tour, but this time she had her iconic braids from the “Say My Name” music video. This Prince tribute was better than Billboards but only because of Jennifer and Bilal. Erykah sounded terrible and off. Jennifer delivered as she always does. The woman is a talent.
I am loving Alicia’s new music but that performance was underwhelming. The song needed promo and this was the spot for it but I feel like she kind of dropped the ball. She sounded great but she needed to pull out the big guns.
