Usher‘s ‘No Limit’ is exceeding expectations on radio.

Fantastic news below…

Keen to ensure his next album soars higher than ‘Looking For Myself’ the vocalist teamed up with the Hip-Hop titan Young Thug to write and record the number ‘No Limit.’

Its sister cut ‘Crash’ is faring better critically but, thanks to commitments made by several program directors on Rhythmic radio, the song flies into the Top Ten on the platform!

It is so important that Usher does well this time around, not just for him but for the future of male r&b artists. We have so many trap soul, neo soul and rock soul artists out there that labels are no longer investing in talented male vocalists who can give you a ballad and still take you to the club. Usher and maybe even Trey Songz can bring that back. Good luck to him!

Miguel is an exceptional vocalist who never seems to get enough credit.

Deadass Usher and Trey Songz needs to keep R&B/Pop alive amongst the black males artist in this industry because Breezy has lost himself and fell off, On top of that this trap soul nonsense is b*******,The Weeknd,Bryson Tiller, and Tory Lanez music is so dark and depressing as f***. Breezy was on a roll 2011-2015. But it’s like 2016 everyone moved to Drake. When Usher released No Limit( despite what everybody says) it felt like a breath of fresh air when I heard it on radio because I’m sick of Drake,Beyoncé,Rihanna and Bryson Tiller. We needed a big R&B pop (not trap soul) black male artist to make a comeback and Usher is the guy to do it

The “R&B Male” brand Usher mastered is indeed becoming extinct….the generation after him have just been so poor along with R&B musics drop out from the mainstream.

Chris Brown has always been heavily hip-hop infused, tarnishing the identity of a black singer and just opening doors for rappers to come through (Drake is now considered R&B). Trey Songz is sickeningly overrated as a vocalist, though does have nice production in the studio that leans towards genuine R&B…he just simply cannot sing. We don’t need a representative who can’t deliver on stage. He exemplifies s** appeal over talent tbh – practically a black Justin Bieber (without sounding too harsh) or even worse – Jason Derulo with his full blown Pop ass that hodls practically 0 R&B credibility.

Usher’s craft of balancing dance music against soulful ballads is wearing thin despite most artists claiming his influence. (U Got It Bad & U Don’t Have to Call, Yeah! & Burn, Love In This Club & Moving Mountains, OMG & There Goes My Baby, Climax & Scream). Justin Timberlake will likely continue success with his white appeal remaining firm at any given level of mediocrity. Miguel and Bruno Mars have the best chance of representing soul in the mainstream – with the latter holding a broader audience.

“When a label steers an artist to adult urban radio, they are going to the back of the line of priorities- just in front of gospel”- Jeff Robinson. Sadly this is true. Adult urban radio doesn’t sell records.

  7. What Now June 23, 2016

Well at least it’s a start. Hopefully he won’t run away if it doesn’t chart high on Billboard like he has been for the last two years.
