Jennifer Lopez, Mary J. Blige,  Britney Spears, MNEK and Pink and a number of other high profile Pop purveyors have joined forces to record an original song to honour the lives of those slain in Orlando, Florida recently.

The name of the moving Justin Tranter-penned single? ‘Hands.’

He shared:

Like the rest of the world I woke up to the news that morning and was horrified and sad and scared,” says Tranter. “We assigned everybody what we thought would be the best part for their voice and we asked them all to sing an additional part, just in case. But everybody got it done in time so we ended up with extra vocals. In Los Angeles “Interscope let us use their studio,” he notes. “Mary J. Blige recorded in New Orleans. Britney Spears in Thousand Oaks, I think. Pink in Santa Barbara. MNEK recorded at home in London. Selena recorded in her studio bus. Dan Reynolds recorded in his home. Adam Lambert was in Luxembourg. Ty Herndon the country star was in Spain. Kacey Musgraves, Nashville. Everyone just got it done.

Listen below…

Deeply moving.

Lame. Keep that “We Are the World” s*** for homosexuals.

    • booyou July 6, 2016

wow dude, people died and youre taking your time to show no kindness towards something dedicated to them.

you must be a sad person.

      • Biting Truth July 6, 2016

No, I’m taking my time to say that this “song” is nothing but a disingenuous, self-righteous pandering piece…meant to exploit the deaths, all while the artists involved can self-congratulate themselves and act as though they’re championing something. It’s phony. It’s lame. And I’m not buying into it.

    Dear Artists,

If you want to help out by earning money for the victims of a horrific crime, rather than just doing something that will get you some good press and in the headlines, MAYBE you should create a song/product worth buying…or even better, privately donate. This song is garbage.

    • Biting Truth July 6, 2016

Thank you. Doesn’t every city have some sort of alliance center for homosexuals? Donate to it. Hell, if every one of them ponied up a thousand dollars, they could easily erect a mural to commemorates each of the victims by name. F*** a song. What the hell is that? Just a group of pop stars – all past their primes – trying to market a situation for their own professional gain.

People die all the time, why is it a big issue when the gays die? Homosexuals like to be treated special. I bet some of these artists are homophobic themselves, they just want to look good in the eyes of the gays. SMH

for 1..The Orlando shooting was a massacre. That should say enough.

      • blue July 6, 2016

49 people died, that was not a massacre.

Which they would record a song for the victims of the floods in Ghana or Baghdad

    • Biting Truth July 6, 2016

Not trendy enough. The people who suffered and perished in the floods of Ghana aren’t being pandered to on Greys Anatomy, Empire or just about every prime time sitcom/drama for a “tribute song” to resonate. The liberal media has decided to make homosexuals and their gluttonous issues something to champion for self-congratulating. On the flipside, though, I would expect *real* humanitarians to actually behave more realistically to the situations in Ghana or Baghdad, by donating time, money and lowkey-but-genuine acknowledgment to its sufferers…not by creating some spectacle for commerce.

This happens time & time again… Christina Aguilera does it 1st & then the pop girls follow behind her & do the SAME thing… *plays Change*

  13. Selenator *Kills Them With Kindness* July 6, 2016

Selena sounds like an angel and Britney sounds great too. But this is pointless. Christina proved that when Change came and went. Charity singles don’t work. A charity concert seems like a better idea

    • What Now July 6, 2016

Yea a charity concert would slay lives.

  14. Younggib July 6, 2016

I’m going to sound crazy but… What is the reason for this song? What are these artis trying to achieve? With go-fund-me accounts that equal way over 4 million, why is there a push for more financial support? If people truly cared for these people, there would be voulteers helping the victims and families. Where are the families asking for support? Or is this another gun control ploy?

  15. Reality July 6, 2016

While I’m sure their hearts were in the right place, I still question it because to me it’s starting to look like a bandwagon. Christina I know has a long history with the LGBT community so with her I didn’t raise an eyebrow when she dropped Change; but this new song and selected batch of artist to me look like a “see me” ploy, because none of them, to my memory, have ever advocated for the LGBT community. More so where were these artist when the people got shot up in the movie theater or the children got shot up in the elementary? Where were these artist, especially Mary, when Trayvon and the Black Lives Matter movement started? I’m not a fan of cherry picking.
