It’s been a tough year for Celine Dion, following the death of her beloved husband Rene Angelil. But the iconic songstress is battling back to a better place.
This evening she flexed her funny-bone on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. And didn’t disappoint.
Dion is the latest name to play the now infamous ‘Wheel of Musical Impressions’ – which ironically went viral after Ariana Grande impersonated her.
Up against host Fallon, the vocal powerhouse channelled the likes of Rihanna, Sia, Cher, and Michael Jackson.

I will forever be moved emotional whenever I hear this woman sing “The Power of Love”. So gifted, graceful, professional, and poise is she.
She has a beautiful voice, but she never sings with the microphone switched on though.
Yeah, she’s been lipsyncing the elongated high note at the end since the 90s, but she’s still fooling folks into thinking its all her. At least she can actually sing, though.
And her tours are mega successful too, especially considering she doesn’t have the theatrics of Madonna (no shade to Madonna). She manages to stay under the radar, and slay everything except a live performance.
I think Rashad needs to write an article on Mary J Blige, did you know she has 12 albums, all but 4 are platinum, with “stronger with each tear” being 50K away from platinum, and “My life” only being 200K away from platinum.

She is low key very successful overall, especially considering her music is almost entirely R&B and Hip Hop.
Yeah, I enjoyed the “Taking Chances” Tour very much, especially the minimal stage design in the center. But how is “My Life” not platinum? That’s literally Mary’s most respected and lyrically vulnerable album.

Nice, I’ll admit I haven’t heard some of those but I’ll add them to my playlist.
I’m not big on Mary, but it’s nice to see her get love! She does seem slide under radar sometimes! As far as PURE R&B females go, Mary might sit at the top of the hill (even though she included Hip/Hop elements). It’s definitely between her, Alicia Keys and Toni Braxton (even though they’ve all ventured outside of the genre later in their careers). Of course I’m taking folks like Aretha, Gladys and Chaka out the equation! My favorite MJB album is ‘Share My World’, but her ‘411’ album is an amazing piece of work for a debut!
It sucks that she hasn’t sung that song past the first verse in like 15 years. It was my fav English song that she did.
Celine is just awsome and very funny. From this you know why she’s alway been on top of the game.

Celine Dion is such a humble & sweet spirit. Lord, she went thru a lot this year. But, she’s a trooper. Her music is NOT my cup of tea, but I do respect her as a legendary vocalist.
Yasss Mary J is an R&B legend, it is amazing how successful her career has been, 12 albums later. I think she still has enough momentum to churn out another successful album, not London Sessions which was a total mess.
