Much like fellow celebrities Drake, Beyonce, and more, Grammy winning star Chris Brown is using his platform for positivity to react to the tragic killings of two African American men [#PhilandoCastile & #AltonSterling] this week at the hands of police.
While one song, ‘A Lot of Love,’ hears the crooner sharing a heartfelt message of hope and prevailing over prejudice, the other – titled ‘My Friend’ – sees him address social injustice head on. Taking to Instagram, Brown stated:
“This song [‘Friend’] I released for free for anybody dealing with injustice or struggle in their lives.” he wrote on IG.
Take a listen to both below:
I like this cause Chris needs to change up his album themes and focus on quality not quanity. He still has potential and I hope he gets it right away. No more b****** n h***, tweak, n ect bs.
FIGHT THE POWER ✊✊✊✊✊
Now just why can’t he aim to make all his music of this quality. I love it Chris ???
Love it. It is crazy out here
Kudos Chris!
Oh wow, these songs were actually good. Not trash sing-rapping about drugs, money, and degrading women over a trap beat like we usually get from him. Well done!
Always been a huge fan of Chris ! I’m glad he decided to actually make meaningful music. His turn up music is cool too but I like when he actually takes his time to make songs like these
His future projects should like this from now on ??
nice.
Good to hear THIS version of Chris. It’s been awhile.
Nice song and I like it
