“How many black lives does it take to wake a change?”
The powerful quote above is lifted from Miguel‘s heartfelt number ‘How Many’ – the latest in a string of musical tributes lifted to African American victims of police brutality.
A stirring demonstration of hope and frustration, Miggy took to his official Soundcloud page to unveil the first version of ‘How Many,’ a track he says is not finished but will be “updated every week until its complete.”
Let us be the first to tell you, however, the song in its raw form rings in poignancy. Hear it below:
Love it we are need of love all around. I also think this version is fine the way it is Miguel, unless you can make it sound better I guess.
Eeeeh in 2016 aftrr fighting oblishing slavery years ova years ago… we’re still stuch up to say black lives matter… wtf is that we all mattrr cuz w’re equal. Police abuse needs to STOP
If we all were truly equal, we would not be having this conversation.
He never disappoints
They need to make a black lives matter album
Yess that’ll be great. I mixture of r&b, soul, jazz, hiphop/rap and of course gospel
@lmfao it could easily have rocknroll as well as some country on it. Black people created almost all genres of american music.
@Danzou yess true true, your absolutely right about that. ??
Alot of people was talking about this all over the world and nice performance of him
