After a six year hiatus, VH1’s Hip Hop Honors is set to return next week to pay respects to Missy Elliott for her colossal contributions to Hip-Hop.
Find out who has been drafted in to help mark the occasion below…
The star-studded spectacle will descend on New York’s Lincoln Centre on July 11th. It has been re-erected to honor several notable ladies of Hip-Hop including Queen Latifah, Lil Kim and Salt N’ Peppa.
Joining Misdemeanour in celebrating her abundant attributes will be longtime collaborators Timbaland, Pharrell, Nelly Furtado, Fantasia, Remy Ma, Keyshia Cole, Fat Joe, and Trina.
Performances from all honorees are also expected. As such fans of Missy can expect to see the Virginia native – along with Latifah Kim – take to the stage. The first since 2010’s event, the ceremony will air on VH1 9pm ET.
Past ‘Honors have paid tribute Tupac Shakur, LL Cool J and Wu-Tang Clan.
