I’m completely here for it. Her impact on hip hop is undeniable missys one of the greatest hip hop icons of our time.

    • LIL’ KIM BIRTHED YO FAVES July 6, 2016

Missy is a legend. The beauty of Missy’s career is how completely secure she was in her own skill, talent, and ability that she didn’t shy away from working with other female rappers. Unlike a certain stinking pumpum b!ttchh who currently runs around calling herself “the queen of rap” because she has a clothing line at K-Mart.

  2. kwinzy July 6, 2016

    Long overdue!

It’s amazing how Remy Ma & Trina can show love by in the presence of their predecessors yet Ms Garbaj can’t ever do the same. #RealFemaleRapUnity Very predictable, Onika! 😉

    • Danzou July 6, 2016

Ok but nicki has always stated who her influences were so cut it.

      • kwinzy July 6, 2016

Actions are louder than words, bruh.

      • Danzou July 6, 2016

Right I guess that’s why her tour sold out worldwide.

    • BEYSTAN_ SINCE 1997 July 6, 2016

VH1 honored Missy during their “Hip Hop Honors show” back in 2010. Billboard Awarded Missy ealier this year with the “Innovator Award”. Missy has won hundred of awards during her time 1997-2006 & has always been recongized for her contributions which is why she still holds the title of the best selling female hip-hop artist of all time!

      • jdek July 6, 2016

        this

    • jdek July 6, 2016

It truly is long overdue anyways icki is just petty and pressed she has no impact on hip hop and never will kii She’ll never sit with the greats such as missy kim and foxy.

      • Danzou July 6, 2016

She’s already sitting with the greats. 65 million singles sold. Highest selling female rapper of all time so far.

    • kwinzy July 6, 2016

      *by being in the presence

    • July 6, 2016

why can you just come on here and show love without hating are trying to drag down someone else, and just leave it at that.yall always out for a reaction.

    • LIL’ KIM BIRTHED YO FAVES July 6, 2016

Oinknika Garbaj can’t show love because her heart is full of hate and unhealthy competition. She wants other females to lose and only herself to win. She’s a dark-hearted witch and she will not be prosperous in the end. Karma will take away everything Oinknika thinks she has worked for. Karma always wins in the end.

  3. BEYSTAN_ SINCE 1997 July 6, 2016

Congratulations!!! I believe this is the 2nd time VH1 has honored Missy ?

    • LIL’ KIM BIRTHED YO FAVES July 6, 2016

Yes, because she is a true legend and musician. I love Missy.

      • Danzou July 6, 2016

Yep and she WROTE HER OWN S***.

  4. Danzou July 6, 2016

Please don’t come here with all that “but she already was celebrated” crap.

  5. Danzou July 6, 2016

Do not start this nicki hate. Please. I will drop receipts all over this post.

    • BEYSTAN_ SINCE 1997 July 6, 2016

Drop all the recipets you want! Missy still hold th record for being the only female rapper to have 6 multi platinum album under her belt! You clearly feeling insecure about Onika, which there is no need to. Nikki has been holding the torch for female in rap and I’m sure Missy appreciates it!

      • jdek July 6, 2016

        kii

      • Danzou July 6, 2016

Why would I be insecure about nicki? What I said is that we not about to hate on nicki. If the shoe don’t fit don’t wear it.

      • kwinzy July 6, 2016

Missy has 6 platinum records for REAL PURCHASED SALES might I add, not some sales by streams f***ckery. FOH and take your Queen P** of Kid Bopz with you.

      • Danzou July 6, 2016

I find it odd that you all feel the need to speak on nicki all the time. This post is about missy but for some reason yall brought up nicki. Why?

    • The Legend Called Missy ElliottI July 6, 2016

      Hay Loosey Booty!

    • The Legend Called Missy ElliottI July 6, 2016

Gurl, pat the puss. If you haven’t figured out by now I’m going to devote my time to calling your self hating a s s every chance I get.

  6. Annalise July 6, 2016

I’d understand if it was a new tribute with different artists, but the fact that they just recycled the same acts shows how tired and backwards VH1 has become. She hasn’t even released any music since the last time they did it. SMH, it was lowkey LIT tho!

  7. King Mark111 July 6, 2016

Queen of Hip Hop. Aaliyah’s impact.

  8. Danzou July 6, 2016

Lol why do gay men hate nicki?

    • Word is bond July 6, 2016

A loose bottom like yourself calling out other gay men won’t take away the pillow you stay biting on. Everyone who knows real rap hates Nicki, she brings nothing new to the table other than being a very successful entertainer, who’s a fraudulent and contrived human being. Yup, Hitler of Female Rap. Seeth.

      • Danzou July 6, 2016

        Yawn

    • The Legend Called Missy ElliottI July 6, 2016

Hunty only gay men like Nicki. If it weren’t for gay men and little prostithots she would be back at Red Lobster. Everything you post screams power a s s bottom.

Come out Danzia Gurl

      • Danzou July 6, 2016

You’re so transparent. You’re obviously another account that made a new email just to act like you’re another person. Foh. Every time someone calls u out the first thing you think to do is call them gay. Being gay isn’t even an insult you’re only saying it cuz you think I care. With that being said, you along with plenty of other loose b*** n***** on this site, are miserable and you take joy in hating on women. Regularly.

      • The Legend Called Missy ElliottI July 7, 2016

Loose Booty I have had the same account for years. You self hating low life! Nuckka you gay!

  9. Essence_of_sean July 6, 2016

Because she doesn’t care if gays dies or not

    • Danzou July 6, 2016

Says who? Because she didn’t say anything about Orlando? Lol so? Everybody don’t gotta be a spokesperson. She’s a rapper not a damn governor. Get over it.

      • Essence_of_sean July 6, 2016

You so right, So maybe she should get rid of all the gays that worked for her, and stop stealing our lingo, stop catering to the gays.

Dumb ass Im sure some of her stans were in that club. Gay or not that could’ve been anybody. So dont tell me to get over a damn thing.

      • Danzou July 6, 2016

You’re reaching. There are plenty of people who haven’t made public statements about it and so what? It’s not their job. It doesn’t mean that they don’t care. Gay people don’t got they own lingo. A lot of gay culture stems from women. Cut it.

      • The Legend Called Missy ElliottI July 6, 2016

        Hay Gurl Hay! ???‍?‍?

  10. MusicFan103 July 6, 2016

I am all here for Miss being celebrated. But wasn’t it most of these acts the last time? Like wasn’t it Tweet, Timbo, Nelly Furtado, Eve and Keyshia Cole.

Oh well lets make it fresh and new. I just think Missy has so man collaborators to pull from. Off the top of my head, Monica, Jazmine Sullivan, P!nk, Christina Aguilera, Mya, Destiny’s Child, Total, 702, Danity Kane, PussyCat Dolls, Beyonce, J. Cole, are some big names she worked with and helped their careers achieve hits.

Great news but they should also consider honouring current stars too not just the old school rappers

    • Word is bond July 6, 2016

  13. What Now July 6, 2016

They better come thru for Missy!

  14. FC/JC July 6, 2016

    Queen Misdemeanor

  15. LIL’ KIM BIRTHED YO FAVES July 6, 2016

It’s interesting that Lil’ Kim fans like me love and respect Missy Elliott. We show love because we don’t need to trash other talented contemporaries of Lil’ Kim for our queen to reign. Oinknika can’t stand beside any other female because she ain’t got what it takes to compete. Oinknika Garbaj is trash. One Missy Elliott album slays Oinknika’s career.

  16. Danzou July 6, 2016

Here go that lil him Stan.

    • The Legend Called Missy ElliottI July 7, 2016
