Expectations are lofty for Lady Gaga‘s first solo album in three years.
And according to one of the project’s primary producers Mark Ronson, the set won’t just meet them – it’ll exceed them.
More below…
Speaking on Beats 1 radio on Apple Music, the music maestro gushed to Zane Lowe saying:
We’ve been working on this record for a while. I can’t really get into it too much – I’m not trying to be coy, but I feel like it’s not my place. When the time’s right to tell the story, I feel like she should tell.
But it’s some of my favourite music I’ve really ever worked on. It’s incredible – I love it.It’s very rare you’re working on something and you go to bed at 3am in the morning and you wake up at 8am and you just cannot wait to get back to the studio to work on that thing you want to work on.”
I can’t wait until you can hear it because the music speaks for itself – some of my favourite musicians of all time are working on it.” [Source]
Having helmed hits such as ‘Uptown Funk’ and ‘Rehab’ with Amy Winehouse, Ronson’s list of credentials add an auto-layer of qualitative to his words.
It’s of course imperative to bear in mind that, as executive producer of the LP, it’s effectively his job to hype it up. That said, when he shoots, he almost always scores.
As such, we can’t wait to hear what the pair have cooked up. The line about his “favourite musicians” being apart of the album suggests the project may be much larger in scope than perhaps thought.
Exciting times; fingers crossed the material arrives sooner rather than later.
For, after big releases from the likes of Beyonce and Rihanna early in the year, the summer heading into fall feels like the ripest of times to come out blazing.
Come through, Gaga!
