Mark Ronson: “Lady Gaga’s New Album Is Incredible”

Expectations are lofty for Lady Gaga‘s first solo album in three years.

And according to one of the project’s primary producers Mark Ronson, the set won’t just meet them – it’ll exceed them.

More below…

Speaking on Beats 1 radio on Apple Music, the music maestro gushed to Zane Lowe saying:

We’ve been working on this record for a while. I can’t really get into it too much – I’m not trying to be coy, but I feel like it’s not my place. When the time’s right to tell the story, I feel like she should tell.

But it’s some of my favourite music I’ve really ever worked on. It’s incredible – I love it.

It’s very rare you’re working on something and you go to bed at 3am in the morning and you wake up at 8am and you just cannot wait to get back to the studio to work on that thing you want to work on.”

I can’t wait until you can hear it because the music speaks for itself some of my favourite musicians of all time are working on it.” [Source]

Having helmed hits such as ‘Uptown Funk’ and ‘Rehab’ with Amy Winehouse, Ronson’s list of credentials add an auto-layer of qualitative to his words.

It’s of course imperative to bear in mind that, as executive producer of the LP, it’s effectively his job to hype it up. That said, when he shoots, he almost always scores.

As such, we can’t wait to hear what the pair have cooked up. The line about his “favourite musicians” being apart of the album suggests the project may be much larger in scope than  perhaps thought.

Exciting times; fingers crossed the material arrives sooner rather than later.

For, after big releases from the likes of Beyonce and Rihanna early in the year, the summer heading into fall feels like the ripest of times to come out blazing.

Come through, Gaga!

YAASSSSSSS GAGA! I don’t really care for you but I’m wishing for a great comeback album from you. The world needs your pop dominance because I’m tired of Taylor Swift and the basics.

    • ?+ ✈ = ? August 3, 2016

People said this about her last album

  2. #JACKIE August 3, 2016

Yessss Gaga we need your TALENT without the gimmicks. Rooting for her!

  3. Danzou August 3, 2016

If it’s anything like art pop keep it

    • JOHNVIDAL August 3, 2016

Hmm there were better songs there than most pop releases, Sexxx Dreams or Do what U Want are two examples. Not to mention, she being a real songwriter, those songs easily turned into great live showings when the whole eletronic stuff was left behind. Sounded so great accoustic. The album had some really great choruses in many of the songs.

      • What Now August 3, 2016

Those songs are not good. I’m shocked that someone that goes in on every artist to make “real” music and have talent would choose say that such mediocrity is good.

      • JOHNVIDAL August 4, 2016

LOL Which songs are better? The ones Rihanna gets from her writers? Seriously? Open your ears and learn what´s underneath songs.

    I CANT WAIT

  5. LB August 3, 2016

I still remember her saying something along the lines of “Artpop is the album of the millennium”, how did that end?

Anyway I low key cannot wait to hear it, should be interesting.

    Didn’t Katy end ha?

  7. FAKESONGWRITINGCREDITS August 3, 2016

This chick pulled so many gimmicks so soon, eating a hot-dog in underwear LMAOOOOOOO.
    Some people, just never learn.
Here we go again hyping the album to the heavens, it’s a hard pill to swallow for her, but gaga it’s not the it girl anymore.

    • JOHNVIDAL August 3, 2016

Nothing other producers don´t say about the albums they contributed to.

I never really got into (Popstar) Gaga. She definitely turned me off when she pushed up her 1st single from her last album to match Katy’s release date(so shady).

Hopefully she is a little more humble, and brings good music.

The jazz album with Tony Bennett was a real eye opener to her actual talent without gimmicks, for me. Excellent showing.

  9. Jdek August 3, 2016

I just hope she showcases her talent rather than gimmicks this era

  10. JOHNVIDAL August 3, 2016

No doubt she´ll offer great stuff and showings full of talent. But I don´t think it is coming this year since it was confirmed long ago (I think) that at the end of the year she´ll release a second Jazz album with Tony. You know, to show she can slay easily the models with a mic. Maybe, just maybe, after slaying every big stage and being offered this years National Anthem at the Super Bowl, they´ll offer her (or she´ll pay or however it works LOL) the Halftime Show and she releases during that time? At the beginning of 2017? Could be.

  11. Nystyle808 August 3, 2016

Yeah right. What else would they say? Her camp probably said that her last one was “incredible” before it came out and was met with a resounding THUD.

    • JOHNVIDAL August 3, 2016

I agree it means nothing. Every songwriter says the same for the upcoming album of any of these pop stars they just collaborated with. Remember someone said one of Rihanna´s new albums was going to be like Thriller 🙂

  12. S****** Blonde August 3, 2016

I agree with @John, Mark is just talking good about an album he contributed to, it’s normal, he’s not hyping the project like Gaga and the other producers did with Born this Way and ArtPop, Mark is not that kind, he’s actually very humble.

    • JOHNVIDAL August 3, 2016

You talk as if Madonna were humble or something. Look it´s time to move on mate.

    • S****** Blonde August 3, 2016

Madonna is arrogant but she never hyped her albums, never, Gaga on the other hand actually believes that she is the best thing to happen to music since The Beatles, that’s s fact.

      • JOHNVIDAL August 3, 2016

Nah, she doesn´t believe it. A fact LMAO yeah cause you know her. Look it just looks like obsession from your part. She doesn´t believe it. It was just pure hype for an upcoming huge project. That´s all. Like I said, more peopel have done it. And boy Madonna knows how to hype an album. Give us a break. Don´t even try to come with another reply cause I´m here to defend Madonna when needed. Like when a couple of delusional Rihanna fans insist on saying she is bigger than what Madonna has ever been LOL and you are never anywhere to be seen. So let´s leave it here 🙂

      • S****** Blonde August 3, 2016

You made this about Madonna not me, I wasn’t even thinking in her, and not, creating hype for an album is one thing, everybody does it, another thing is actually proclaim your album as the best album of the millennium or this decade’s best, very different, I was even hating on her, she’s doesn’t interest me anymore to even hate on her, you have really become a little monster, time to admit it.

      • JOHNVIDAL August 3, 2016

I don´t have to admit anything. I always say I defend talent. Just that. For a person who rarely visits this blog nowadays you always manage to be on time for the latest Gaga post. I´d say you are interested.

i love it, come through queenga

  14. What Now August 3, 2016

She should let the music speak itself. That’s what got her ass in trouble with Artpop.

  15. Terny August 3, 2016

Her 1st album will always be her best… Js

  16. Mark111 /.\ August 3, 2016

  17. Mark111 /.\ August 3, 2016

Eh, she’ll flop. We moved on from the gimmicks.
