Hot Shot: Tinashe Shares Cover To New Single ‘Company’

Published: Wednesday 14th Sep 2016 by Rashad

News around Tinashe‘s sophomore album, ‘Joyride,’ would be more adequately described as a rollercoaster.

The stageblazing newcomer seemed to get things kicked off right with her Chris Brown-assisted tune, ‘Player,’ and its follow-up, ‘Superlove,’ but from the looks of charts, her offerings haven’t exactly been getting super love from music lovers.

Will another single change the tide for ‘Joyride?’ Tinashe sure hopes so.  Details inside:

Rumor has it, ‘Joyride’s official release date will be unveiled Friday (Sept 16) as it will finally be available for pre-order.  To commemorate the occasion, the ‘2 On’ singer will also be revealing her new single, ‘Company.’

To tease its debut, T took to social media to reveal its official cover (seen above).  Could the video below be our first taste of what to expect from its accompanying visual?

    • ? September 14, 2016

I think this song is about her laying on her back

      • SailorMoon September 15, 2016

She’s was done overcooked and dry since before her first official single. No need for forks just throw it out! Next!

I want her to win so bad

  4. Hur September 14, 2016

It’s going to be another boring single… I can tell. ??

  5. Molly September 14, 2016

    Girl what happen tooo superflop?

    • SailorMoon September 15, 2016

Wasted video treatment on a boring song. Just dumb. Who’s thinking for her? She couldn’t possibly believe that song would smash.

Superlove just got added to many pop radio stations including Z100 so she hasn’t quite moved on but will be offering a R&B midtempo song for the fans.
Unfortunately, you have to be a social climber(being buddy buddy and take pics with other big artists) and have some sort of controversy for people to buy into your music. Tinashe has none of that, what she does have is tenacity and focus on delivering music and still remaining relevant without a hit (for herself of course) since “2 On”. That says something. There’s no reason for her to not to blow up big soon like other artists putting out mediocre singles and winning, as she always give great quality performances. Label, execution and not being a social climber(which I love BTW) is the downfall.

    • #TeamTinashe Stan September 14, 2016

Just remember Natalie LA Rose had a bigger hit in the U.S than Tinashe and has become irrelevant (sad tbh) since then.
      Respect Tinashe’ grind.

    • Angel Brinks September 15, 2016

She is a social climber you Dumass that’s the only reason she’s f****** Calvin harris.

Super love was just everything for me. I can’t stop playing it. I really want her to win. There is room for more urban/black females in the game. I think she needs to release a more pop mainstream single. jealous with nick Jonas was great…she needs another song like that to reach a wider audience.

  8. iSpeakTruthNoFallacy September 14, 2016

Tin Tin please let this be good. I’m here rooting for you. I want you to win!

    • SailorMoon September 15, 2016

How can you support this girl she tried to come for Rihanna in 2009? Now look at her flop ass trying trying 3 years after Rihanna’s debut she was a certified pop star. This little girl is nobody 3 years later. Karma!

  9. Tori September 14, 2016

I am in love with this cover, it’s simple yet striking. I hope that the cover is a picture from the video meaning the video has been shot and ready to be released. I want her to win even though I’m not a big fan of hers, she does make some good music “Player” & “Aquarius” are my favorite songs by her, “Pretend” is a close second too. She needs to release the album and if it fails on the charts, build a strong touring base and use that towards her 3rd album.

I respect this girl but why the so many singles….if I were part of her team I would just wait until 2017 to release more music.

This year we got a new Rihanna, Beyoncé, Britney, Ariana, and soon Lady Gaga….

The competition will be less next year

  11. FC/JC September 14, 2016

Hunny nothing is sticking, She needs Rita Orals team to push her in other directions…. Is she not taking the hint that nobody is buying her music. Superlove was HOT after the video, but they didnt promote it.

  12. A&R September 14, 2016

Iono… At this point Ima just wait to see how destiny plays out. After Teyana Taylor showed up in Fade and then the hella cool and creative picture video i stop caring any Superlove. Tin has drive tho. Maybe she’ll pull a Beyonce and work her way to the top but iono… I’ll just wait to see what life does.

    Good luck.

Tinashe IS going to slay! No matter what happened with the singles that didn’t capture the general public ONE thing for sure is Tinashe is going to keep hustling. She needs a single that will be that IT single to push her through! She’s going to get my coins next month because I see a talented artist that has her OWN lane. Seriously people need to support Tinashe because she’s that artist that brings it every time! “Company” should SLAY and I need the visual for it to be IT. C’mon Queen Tinashe!!!!! #TeamTinashe

  14. Paulo September 14, 2016

fourth single? can’t her team or label have some patience and faith? they burned out Player then they missed out on Ride of Your Life (such a grower! it deserved a video) and now that Superlove (boring song) is finally doing something they’re gonna release a new song. eugh. I really want her to be successful but by the looks of it Joyride is about to flop harder than Aquarius.

    she’s so talented, it’s a shame 🙁

  15. Lake Erie September 14, 2016

Damn, I guess 2016 will go down as her “singles year”. Nothing but singles all year… .. She may as hell chalk it and just release an album already. GONE are the days of lead singles to albums. TBH, her Superlove video got A LOT of good reviews and was trending for real for real… And the song is really liked… It kind of grew on me too… If she was to drop a surprise album NOW, I think she’d get good numbers.

    • 4everBrandy_Ci September 14, 2016

The issue is her label doesn’t promote her enough. The singles she releases didn’t get the general public to pat attention because the LACK of promotion. She’s going to get my coins next month for sure! No matter what I’m going to be there for her because she is talented. I’m certain this single is going to get people to pay attention to her and I want for her team to stay consistent with the promotion. “Super Love” is a catchy urban/pop record but I want for Tinashe to release a single that will get people to be like “This chick right here is the real deal.” So far Tinashe has gained interest for those that like her records. In the meanwhile I need for her team to really get it right. Her album is releasing next month and I want people to see that she’s really IT.

What’s the point when the h** has a 20+ year career worth of free music. She’s not a rapper there was no reason to release that many mixtapes. Those mixtapes will be better then And album she release and the label knows it. She killed her own career before it began she’ll stay around making music but she will never be anyone of significant popularity unless she f**** the right men and his well placed friends.

  16. Lake Erie September 14, 2016

I got a feeling this may be a pop song but I pray it’s not… only because I really don’t care for pop lol.

  17. Credits September 14, 2016

This sounds like her sound! If you’ve heard aquarious then you know what I mean.

  18. TurkeyNoodleSavage September 15, 2016

I want her to win as well , but that video was stupid .

  19. Liam September 15, 2016

I see she’s funding her videos again…at this point she should just go indie and do her thing! All the material she release has been good but the label really isn’t pushing her music sigh she needs proper promo management as well cause outside of the internet the GP doesn’t even know she’s releasing music that kind a way

    • Jumma September 15, 2016

How do you know? Heard from where?

  20. SailorMoon September 15, 2016

This girl had a lot of negative s*** to say about Rihanna. Tuna-she debut single was in 2014 in the same amount of time at this point in Rihanna’s career Rihanna had 5 number 1 singles 2 platinum albums and a gold one… Tinashe will always be a soundcloud b****.

    • 4everBrandy_Ci September 15, 2016

You’re a PRESSED bum just hating on Tinashe because of your favorite artist. She never disrespected anyone period. It’s the other way around. Go sit down because you’re not a fan to begin with. Second of all Tinashe is going to be another black artist doing well for herself. Whether you like it or not. #BitterAssStan

      • SailorMoon September 15, 2016

shut up stupid h**. This flop b**** was actually teasing Rihanna about the sales of Rated R… That album is Platinum mind you. Now look at the h** 23 already no accomplishments. Dead on arrival.
