The Weeknd is coming thick and fast.
It’s been little under two days since the crooner unwrapped the video for ‘Starboy’ – the title track from his upcoming album.
Now, today he’s unleashed ‘False Alarm.’
Frantic, dramatic, and daringly dark, the track can be heard below…

The Weeknd has cemented his sound and sonically excels with it.
Does it rock our world? Not a whole lot. However, it is a solid slice of what has become his trademark and his fans will undoubtedly lap it up as such.
‘False Alarm’ is available on iTunes now, while ‘Starboy’ (the album) arrives November 25th via XO/Republic.
This is ugh…different…
A little annoying…. but I can see it getting stuck in my head.
I do t like the fast part but it’ll slay on the charts especially if he puts a thin white model in the vid as usual
nice.
Nope.
This is surprisingly nice! I was expecting the same sounding thing from him, but I love the cinematography of his vision and sound. It’s quality!
This a for sure european club rager. So fresh and inventive; I appreciate artists just trying to be different and push the envelope sonically. Although I don’t like the track as much as Starboy, I see Abel is trying to develop something here. I gave him a hard time yesterday, but I’ll definitely give Starboy the album a full spin with a blunt.
Yass
Facts
You sure got that right …with a blunt
She loves everybody
Can’t you tell by the signs?
She loves everybody
She gets off all the time
It’s a dark philosophy
And it haunts her constantly
It’s a false alarm to me
She’s a false alarm…
#STARBOY #11/25
It’s kinda sad that we can’t just get one song these days and let it resonate. These artists have to reslease song after song so quickly without proper treatment and attention . I’m still trying to get into this other song
I don’t care for the lead single, but I’m glad that he’s not going generic by following the same safe method most popstars follow when they’re in the good graces of mainstream. Good for him for showing Max Martin that he only used him for a quick pop hit to shoot to superstardom and then dropped him off at the earliest convenience. He must be pissed. Lol!
“The weekend is coming hard and fast” Sam…SAM.
???
A little odd, but good. I’m loving the 80s vibe.
I love starboy. But this is a bit noisy! Like perfect illusion. A mess.
i kind of like this resurgence of the 80s sound.
Yes! I am all for this song. I’ve been following The Weeknd ever since Echoes of Silence, and while I still feel Trilogy (especially House of Baloons and Echoes…) were his best, I feel he is beginning to grow as a ‘mainstream’ artist. Starboy was just such a breath of creative air, and this track is just something else. Can’t wait for the album. This guy might just end up being the next big male superstar (notice how there’s a serious lack of those nowadays)
Nice song
I don’t knkw what Y’all been listening to, but this is a banger! I am loving the lyrics and this is his 1st song that I am loving straight out of the gates. I love it at 1st listen.
