The 28-year-old was tapped to headline the annual extravaganza, which aims to raise funds to end poverty worldwide.
Following in the footsteps of last year’s bill-topper Beyonce, the Bajan belle rocked New York’s Central Park with current single ‘Love On The Brain,’ seismic smash ‘Diamonds,’ and 2015’s oft-forgotten ‘FourFiveSeconds.’

I’m never been that big of a Rhianna fan but im not gonna sit up there and act like she didn’t put on a great show last night! I honestly became a Rhi fan last night! She did an awesome job live! She may not be a powerhouse vocalist like Bey but Rhianna does what works for her! I really enjoyed her show! She had the whole city children and parents rocking to her music last night! & I had no idea Rhianna had so many danm hit records! She has accomplished alot for her age! She has done things it take most artists do their entire career! Good job Rhi!

Granted Rihanna is not a powerhouse singer but she is (honestly) a great entertainer and certainly knows how to perform when its called for (albeit I do wish she was more consistent) and stage presence has grown ten-folds the last several years. She has “something” that not many pop artists (especially current ones) possess this is why she’s so successful and has had amazing longevity.

As for her “hit records”, there isn’t a single artist (male or female) of whom has as much global hits as Rihanna does; she is the biggest hitmaker of her generation and has been since 2007. Greatest hits albums are virtually obsolete and pointless in today’s music industry given the sales climate and what have you but if her were to one produce one it would, possibly, need to be triple sided just to cover the sheer variety of hits she’s had from 2005 – present.

Agreed…maybe consistency is the word to use here. The fact that u as a NAVY can say she is inconsistent is honest and refreshing. Like for example my favourite performance from Rih this era, is the 3 performance at the VMA…THE NEEDED ME, POUR IT UP MIX. EXCLUDING THE ATROCIOUS AND HORRIBLE VOCALS ON NEEDED ME, I REALLY LIKED AND ENJOYED HOW CONFIDENT SHE SEEMED AND WAS JUST HAVING FUN WITH SOME CHOREOGRAPHY. She started off singing “Needed Me” so well but her head voice/falsetto was completely non-existent that night so the performance just fell apart by the end – “Pour It Up” and “BBHMM” were great though. My favourite performance was her ‘Dancehall’ medley; she is so much more comfortable when singing/performing songs of her heritage/culture and that I’ve noticed the last several years.
She may ruled the charts with her basic a** song but girl really can’t sing. It’s painful to hear and watch. I’ll put her on the same categeory as katty basic perry, queen of the chart but worst vocalist. They can never be compare to the likes of bey or gaga who are an actual singer and who knows how to put on a show.

It’s been very well established that their are certain songs (hits or not) in her repertoire that Rihanna does not and will sing/perform often and if she does its usually on certain occasions ie. “Pon De Replay; S.O.S; Umbrella; Don’t Stop The Music; Take A Bow; Disturbia etc. There’s also We Ride; Shut Up and Drive; Rehab; Russian Roulette; Hard etc. and SO MUCH MORE!

Furthermore, “ANTI” was a heavy urban album thus I believe that this era she was just performing her favourite urban-oriented songs + a few established smash-hits ala. We Found Love & Diamonds.

OT I’m so proud of rihanna.
