Despite seeing its official teaser met with teasing from social media users earlier this week, Mary J. Blige‘s interview with Hillary Clinton is chock-full of hot button subject matter that’s by no means a laughing matter.

Discussing everything from women’s rights to police brutality against African Americans, the Queen of Hip Hop Soul – a very vocal supporter of Clinton – let the launch of her Beats 1 talk show, “The 411” (named in honor of her 1992 debut album), be a platform for the presidential hopeful to discuss her plan to tackle those controversial issues should she be elected to office.

Clocking in at approximately 30 minutes, watch the lengthy, but “must see,” interview below:

I just thought about something…I haven’t seen LB or that mark111 account at all lately. Iwonder if they died. Now all we need is for that k pop account to go next. As well as omglogic. S****** blonde can go too.

You know I respect Hillary for doing Mary’s new show and I’m not going to lie when Mary sang and grabbed Hillary’s hand I got something in my eye with the words being sung. I hope the show suceeds!

Mary J is so underrated. She should be right there with the greats. The Love I never Had is one of her best songs that really showcases the jazzy part of her vocals. She will always be on my playlist. No she’s not a Whitney or Mariah, but she brings much soul to the table. Love the evolution of Mary.

Lol underrated? I thought she was at the table with the greats? She’s literally known as the queen of hip hop soul. The same woman Keyshia and k Michelle have tried to imitate as well as so many others.

I dont see anything wrong with the song. She sounded good. Nothing coonery about. Ppl hype up everything and are so ignorant. And its black ppl who made it a thing.

My biggest issue with Mary J. Blige choice to c*** to Miss Hillary is that she withdrew from her $1 million Burger King endorsement where she was singing about chicken because the Internet was clowning her. Then, the endorsement went to Steve Tyler who sung his heart out about chicken. Everybody loves chicken and I did not see a thing wrong with Mary J. Blige endorsing Burger King or any other chicken product. But then she goes and does a c*** serenade to Miss Hillary. Unlike chicken, which everybody loves, MJB’s c*** serenade is aimed directly at black people.
