The decade long wait for an official LP from JoJo came to a close last week when the songstress unveiled ‘Mad Love’ – the first of (what we are hoping will be) many offerings on new label home Atlantic.

Featuring the likes of Remy Ma, Alessia Cara, and Wiz Khalifa [who guests on the set’s lead single ‘F**k Apologies’], the project – if the thumbs up from critics and fans alike is anything to judge by – was certainly worth the wait.

Now, those anxiously awaiting news about its official first week sales sum have finally seen their wait come to a close.  Check below for the reveal.

First Week Sales:  25,000 SPS

Position:  #6

Via Billboard:

JoJo returns to the Billboard 200 after 10 years, as her new album Mad Love — her first full-length studio album since 2006 — bows at No. 6 with 25,000 units (19,000 in traditional album sales).

The numbers give J her third top 10 debut placement.  Congratulations!

Congrats for placement BUT NO JOJO.
Give this album a quick turnover and get back into the real R&B with touches of Pop style JoJo.

Wanted to like the album more than I did to be honest

    • LISA LEVINE October 25, 2016

      RECKLESS. IS THE HIT.

      • Dev October 25, 2016

The only on the album for me. It made me think that the album was originally in this direction along with save my soul and the other songs on the triangle then something changed and we got the album that was released.

      ??

  3. Cisco October 24, 2016

Im in love with this album!!

  4. TC October 24, 2016

I have had the entire album on repeat all weekend. It’s my favorite album this year

    • Sean October 25, 2016

      AGREED!

  5. MUSICHEAD October 24, 2016

FAB (Fake Ass B******) would’ve driven the sales higher. But oh well.

I think everyone expected an rnb record, but they got bubblegum pop music like 5H and Little mix. That reason, no hits and minimal promo was her downfall. Try again Jojo “I want her to win so bad”

    • #Nicole Nation October 24, 2016

I expected an r&b album because JoJo said herself, “I consider myself a soul singer.”

    • keepit100 October 25, 2016

this isn’t a downfall, its not her fault she was stuck in legal drama, and had no support from a label for 10 years.. trust if your a real mojo fan, this is the BEGINNING

    • Sean October 25, 2016

      Bubblegum? The f***.

I think it’s a perfectly balanced record. She weaves seamlessly between pop, R&B, soul, EDM and her acoustic ballads. I think the album is arguably the best pop album of the year.

  7. IKNOWTHETRUTH October 24, 2016

IDK WHAT YOU ALL CONSIDER R&B BUT SHE HAS PLENTY OF IT ON HER ALBUM. “Edibles”, “High Heels”, “I Can Only”, “FAB”, “Like This”, and “Vibe” ARE ALL THOSE TYPES OF RECORDS. YOU GUYS MUST WANT HER MUSIC FROM TEN YEARS AGO BUT THIS IS NOT A DECADE AGO AND HER BIGGEST HITS ARE R&B CROSSOVER HITS. SHE HAS PLENTY ON THIS ABLUM.

    • ? October 25, 2016

      All pop flops

    • Chile Please!!! October 25, 2016

Thank you so much….people are such fawking critics over the smallest things….! SMH!

  8. IKNOWTHETRUTH October 24, 2016

THIS IS RESPECTABLE FOR BEING OUT OF THE CHART GAME FOR 10 YEARS. HER SALES ARE IN THE SAME LEAGUE AS USHER AND MONICA WHO HAD PLENTY AIRPLAY WITH THEIR LEAD SINGLES AND STILL FLOPPED, EVEN CIARA. LOOK HOW LITTLE 5H SOLD THEIR FIRST WEEK AND THEN ENDED UP GOING GOLD. ALESSIA CARA & BRYSON HAVE ALSO GONE GOLD AND PLATINUM. RIHANNA ALSO DIDN’T SELL MUCH HER FIRST WEEK AND WAS AIDED WITH A SMASH HIT SINGLE.

    • Credits October 24, 2016

I don’t think Monica had any Airplay and code red still did 32k.

      • MoDove October 25, 2016

Totally agree. Limited Cds were also shipped to the various outlets.

    • SMH October 25, 2016

Just stop. Neither Usher, Monica Nor Ciara had radio airplay hits and they still sold more than this. 19K is not “respectable” anything no matter how you spin it.

  9. #Nicole Nation October 24, 2016

Sorry JoJo, but it’s a NoNo!

Too much filler, I expected better from a “soul singer!”

  10. #Nicole Nation October 24, 2016

There are a few songs worth having in your collection from this album, but most of them are just filler, like the lead single.

  11. Jackx October 24, 2016

Honest is the best song on the album everyone should listen.
Love this album. far better than mess Joanne NEXT

    • JOHNVIDAL October 25, 2016

You wish. Jojo is very talented but her album doesn´t have that type of quality. Let´s not go crazy. It´s appalling how some of you keep hating on talent when it isn´t even the topic.

    • SMH October 25, 2016

Sit please with the Gaga hate. Nobody knows this JoJo chick so dissing Gaga is pointless, especially since Gaga never flopped this hard.

  12. Sean October 25, 2016

I love “Good Thing” and “Reckless”, “Edibles” go hard too

  13. Grapejuice fan October 25, 2016

Birth ep’s that she put out were better than the album, that’s not good back to the drawing bored girl

  14. Ukaszenkoo October 25, 2016

She can still work on those numbers. “I can only” is getting more popular, and it’s not even a single. Which I think it will be really soon. I mean. It should be because it’s the only song off that album that can do well as a REAL LEAD single.
Mad Love is a solid work. Reckless, High Heels, Like This, Honest, Music, Edibles…. Those songs are pure fire. She just needs to work on that promo. And give up Apologies…. It’s not even good for a normal single. Not even talking about the lead.

  15. Paulo October 25, 2016

I agree with @cocobutta and ’em saying it should’ve been more R&B but it’s still a very good record even tho it’s Pop. Honest and Edibles are eeeeeeverything

  16. #JACKIE October 25, 2016

Not Ciara being the topic of discussion in a NoNo post! FLOP! It will drop like a BRICK next week and she will be forgotten again! #ArianaReplacedHa #EvenToriKellyDidBetter #StayPressedBitches

    • LOL October 25, 2016

LOL FOR REAL, CIARA NEVER FLOPPED THIS HARD LOL.

  17. LOL October 25, 2016

LOL I DON’T KNOW HER. GOING BY THESE NUMBERS, NOBODY KNOWS HA LMAO.

  18. eric October 25, 2016

This album is the furthest thing from r&b–no argument there. And that’s not even the issue for me. Whatever the material is, whether it’s pop, rock, etc. it should be good. Her unreleased music offers a much better package than the stuff she sold herself short on with this album. I saw JoJo in concert last year, and from the way she talks and sings live you would think she’s a lot smarter than these songs she wants us to be madly in love with. I’m really disappointed with JoJo right now.

  19. IKNOWTHETRUTH October 25, 2016

USHER BARELY SOLD OVER THIS AND “No Limit” HAS BEEN ALL OVER THE PLACE
