Sad news, bad news for Mariah Carey‘s South American fans.

The diva’s upcoming tour of the region has been abruptly cancelled.

According to E! News, the star is claiming “promoter negligence” as the reason for pulling the switch on said leg of her ‘Sweet Sweet Fantasy’ trek.

In a statement issued, Mimi said:

“To all of my lambs in South America, I am devastated that a portion of this tour had to be cancelled. Thank you for all of the excitement and love—I hope to see you soon, my darlings!”

The shows were to take place next month.

Still, it doesn’t mean Mariah won’t be abundantly busy for the rest of the year. Indeed, she’s gearing up for her E! reality show docu-series ‘Mariah’s World’ and her annual Christmas concerts.
