Hard to believe, but we are only one week away from ‘Here’ – the long-awaited new album from 15-time Grammy winner Alicia Keys (due November 4).

The songstress, who’s been building ample buzz for the project via releases ‘In Common,’ ‘Hallelujah,’ and ‘Blended Family (ft ASAP Rocky),’ is now looking to put the icing on top via her newest single ‘Holy War’ (unveiled today via Apple Music).

An acoustic affair, Keys shows off her oft-praised pipes yet again in this simple, yet stunning arrangement.  Hear what we mean below:

She might as well just released tonight our next Friday. STOP with releasing all your songs, she must have like 19 songs or something.

This might be my favorite song this era so far. I’m ready for the album!

Love AK but this album is going to flop … The general public is not checking for her and the raggedy population asking for real RNB is cheap and won’t spend a dollar on her album … Tragic.

Cant get into her voice. The whole no makeup gimmick is just kinda weird.

Rima, you Need to stfu and keep it cute. How can you Stan gagz but drag beyonce. They are the only two woman that can do it all on stage.
Now I may drag bey for her antics from time to time when the hive tries it, but I have always thought bey was a superstar. And both gagz and bey have more talent in their eyelash than frih has in her 460 first week sales

    Aww. She’s my hair twin!

I really hate the fact that despite how raw, soulful and layered Alicia’s new music is, the general public simply isn’t going to support it. I have truly gotten into IN COMMON, BACK TO LIFE, HALLELUJAH and now this record. However, when I discuss the forthcoming album with my friends who are all music lovers, only one seems to even realize that Alicia has a full on album arriving next week. I just wish the landscape of R&B/soulful music was more on the current than it is. Makes no sense that an artist of this caliber is going to experience a commercial failure solely based on the industry climate and not the quality of her craft.

Yes I agree guys. She´s a real artist. What a career! It is also never-seen-before in her case the total lack of momentum for this album though. I hope her die-hard fans support her and she does a little better than what I am sadly expecting. Regardless of the numbers (one always wants talent to succeed) she´ll keep being equaly talented and respected by her fellow musicians so it will be ok.

I don’t think music listeners in general are entirely to blame. Alicia began a very sudden series of shifts in her image and in her music beginning with Element of Freedom, transitioning again for Girl on Fire, and continuing now with her swearing off makeup and showing a more Afro-centric image and sound. If Alicia feels like she is evolving as a person and as an artist, great, but you have to understand that not everyone is going to understand you and follow you on that journey. Alicia was a force at one time and now she’s in the same place as Usher; there’s no consistency any more in what they do.

What I’m liking a lot about Alicia Keys is her clarity of tone this time around.
