With the Afrobeats scene boasting its own superstars, the Western world is finally sitting up and paying attention.

Case in point with Davido.

The Nigerian wonder was recently signed to a US deal with RCA Records and has teamed with label-mate Tinashe for his latest release ‘How Long.’

Frank Borin helms the track’s official video, which premiered moments ago.

Check it out below…

Not bad.

Sure, the autotune gave us an earache, but the flavoursome production compensates. Tinashe, who is of Zimbabwean heritage herself, rides the beat well and is believable in this lane. Both musically and visually.

It’s anyone’s guess what’s going on with her ‘Joyride’ LP, but it could be cool to see her inject more of her African roots into her music. After all, it’s a relatively open lane as far as R&B girls go.

Your thoughts?

It’s always cool to see when people have natural chemistry. Beyond the quality of the song, they felt good together. I wonderhow hard it is to not connect off the video shoot when the energy is right? That felt like the start of a passionate s** scene lol I def think this is a good bridge until the album. Thumbs up!

Loving the afrobeats. Ok Tinashe, this could actually be your lane! Too bad there’s no dancing tho.

I like it. Very different for her but I love how she is putting herself out there on a lot of different records and trying a lot of different sounds. I want her album to sound cohesive though with top quality material. Drop the filler cuts sis and give us something that really makes a statement music-wise. Sadly, I can’t say anything I’ve heard from her actual upcoming album does that. I’m still hopeful though cuz lord knows she has potential. She just needs a better team. RCA needs to let her go or put someone else on staff over her project.

It was alright. Not bad. They should have tone down the auto tune on his voice. Tinashae voice fit perfectly for the song.
