As the age old adage goes, a problem shared is a problem halved. And for over 20 years, that’s exactly what Mary J. Blige‘s relationship with her fans has been rooted in.
It’s little wonder, then, why the singer is drawing strength from her legion of loyal supporters during her on-going divorce with ex Kendu Issacs.
Today saw the Queen of Hip-Hop/Soul visit Good Morning America to promote new single ‘Thick Of It’ and her ‘King & Queen Of Hearts Tour’ with Maxwell.
During her appearance, Mary not only performed, she opened up about the break-up.
All awaits after the jump…
Prior to taking to the stage, MJB sat down with Robin Roberts to talk about how she’s coping during these tough times. She also revealed that she knew her marriage was when she felt the disrespect she was receiving showed no signs of stopping.
Salute to Mary for soldiering on.
Her new album ‘Strength Of A Woman’ is reportedly due in December.
That’s a true superstar ??
That Grape Juice. I know your word choice is very limited, but can you please use new words.
We are tired of the following words:
1. Belts
2.chanteuse
3. “After the jump”
4. “Serving up”
And I’m sure there are plenty more words and phrases that you use excessively. Buy a thesaurus!
Lol I like TGJ but it’s true. They also use a lot of the words that the commenters here say a lot too. It’s been a few cases where I’ve read the comment section first and then a few blog post later, I see those exact words used verbatim in their blog lol. I could be looking too deep but it’s definitely a pattern.
You forgot the most annoying.. “Cop a gander of”.. Ewww
Guys it’s called branding! That’s their signature or house style. So if you see “cop a gander of” you know you’re reading that grape juice
I know this Mary album is going to be good.
I hope she exposes him, specially for wanting all that damn money. Boy bye!
Lessors like keyshia Cole and kmichelle need to take notes.
The pain you can feel it all over her.
Keep staying strong Mary J.
❤
I just saw Mary live and she killed it. Her vocal was not on point here, the backup singers did there thing. This rushed tour with Maxwell is straining her voice
Queen of R&B/Hip-Hop!
